We had a really lovely stay here with our 2 dogs. The rooms are very nice with everything you need, great range of tea and coffee and a night cap decanters on the way to the room was a wonderful touch. We ate in the pub in the evening and the food was delicious, as was the breakfast in the morning. Quality ingredients cooked perfectly! Thank you ☺️

Came for Sunday lunch. Large group of us. Everything was really good. Service, food, atmosphere. The place was clean and tidy throughout and we felt really relaxed and happy there. Only a small issue was the food not being very hot. Though we were a large party, which I understand is difficult to plate and serve. It all tasted delicious though.

Amazing steak sandwich! I’ve had about three of these over the past couple visits as they are just delicious! Such good value with the lunch deal they offer too! Definitely recommend.

Me and my partner stayed here for a few nights. Overall wonderful experience, comfortable beds, new biscuits in the rooms daily and good size room. The food was excellent, we had belly pork, prawns, calamari, crab and apple crumble. It was amazing. We will definitely be back again soon.

Table for 6 booked for 3pm, 5 roasts & 1 meal. Told food could be a while.. but I had to enquire where it was after 1 hour! It came 75 mins. Meat fine but only 2 small serving dishes of vegetables & pots leek, no apple sauce. Friends paid a lot for this.c

Definitely not a warm welcome. Heck! The pub itself looks really contemporary and nice, with lots of space, seating and a great drinks selection. Sadly the service is anything but friendly. When hospitality establishments are struggling in the current economic climate with the cost of living and lack of Govt support. I would expect establishments to be doing everything they can to welcome and retain customers. Wouldn't return based on the lack of warmth emitting from the lady behind the bar. Far warmer welcome a mile down the road at the rock.

We have just enjoyed a Fantastic 2 night stay , the room was lovely and exceptional value for money , the atmosphere in the whole place was friendly and welcoming , the staff were amazing and the landlord and landlady were amazing hosts , thank you all Howard and Layla We will be back soon x

Unfortunately, our visit was quite disappointing. The portion sizes were surprisingly small, which made the meal feel like poor value for money. We don’t mind waiting for food when it’s worth it, but in this case, the quality didn’t live up to expectations, and the quantity fell way short! What really stood out, though, was the attitude of one staff member who greeted me. They were noticeably rude and unwelcoming, not what you hope for in hospitality! A friendly attitude goes a long way, and sadly, it just wasn’t there. If you don't enjoy your job, perhaps it's time move on to another Overall, we left feeling underwhelmed and unlikely to return. There’s definitely room for improvement in both service and quality.

Great two night stay.
Great stay. Just what we expected from a pub b&b. Good food and drink and the service was excellent. We did some great walking across the moors and around the reservoir.
