This is the Days Inn on West Kellogg in Wichita KS. Some of these reviews must have been given by someone who thought they were booking a room at luxurious 5 star hotel in downtown New York City for $70 a night. The Days Inn is a very affordable Hotel with a lot of great things going for it. It's a perfect place to stay if you have had a long day on a plane or on the road. It's quite and the beds a very comfortable. The room was clean and staff was super friendly. I would recommend the Days Inn to anyone that is looking for an affordable place to stay for the night. There weekly rates are great too. Town West Square a block away and plenty of great places to eat near by. Thank you to all of the great staff at the Days Inn for making my stay there a wonderful experience.

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. (Room 113, for reference) This place is absolutely disgusting and the manager, (Krystal/Crystal), lies straight through her teeth. Upon arrival of our room the door was propped open by a table, walking in the carpet was stained everywhere, there was BLOOD on the bed/bedding next to the nightstand, dead bugs on the floor, visual dust and grime/discoloration on the walls, the bathroom wreaked to all high heaven, and holes in the mattress/box spring of the bed. It was all around just atrocious. We reserved this hotel months in advance through ********** and after arriving, we left. Spoke with the front desk and were told to contact ********** to see about a refund. The manager was not on site so we were unable to speak with her (Crystal/Krystal). We had driven over 7 hours to get here with a baby and with myself having diabetes and needing to constantly check my glucose it was just too unsanitary to stay. So the next day (today) I contact ********** and explain my whole situation and they make contact with the property manager (Crystal/Krystal). She tells them there is absolutely nothing wrong with the rooms, she initially checks room 114 and says nothing is wrong with it when I let them know it was room 113 she then states nothing is wrong with that room either and there is no blood on the bed/bedding, no dead bugs, no smell, nothing and will not approve a refund. How are you going to sit there and lie about all of this? We will never stay at another days inn nor will we ever stay at another Wydham hotel. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a hotel and manager of a hotel.

I do not recommend even considering this hotel. I barely felt safe and the maintenance was clearly poor upon more inspection. I do believe you get what you pay for but not in this case. I chose this Days Inn because it was inexpensive and close to the airport. The Wyndham name made me think maybe Days Inns were doing ok. But I was put off as we arrived by the location behind a warehouse with a vacant lot across the street. It seemed we were staying in a warehouse district with no one around. The clerk at the desk looked like we were checking into a flophouse. When we first stepped into the room, it seemed ok if not spiffy...plenty of room, reasonably clean although it did smell as if someone had smoked in the room in the distant past. We didn't inspect it carefully when we first arrived because we were rushing to make a dinner date with relatives. But when I went to take a bath around 10:30 p.m. before going to bed, I discovered that the tub could not be plugged because the plug mechanism was completely missing. You could see the hair in the drain from the last person that had water to shower. So I decided I would take a quick shower and go to bed. Pipe dream. There was no water to be had no matter how I manipulated the supposed control. There was no way anyone was repairing this at 10:30 p.m. To remedy this would clearly have meant changing rooms when we had already packed for tomorrow's flight and were undressed preparing for bed. And the place seemed pretty full. I wasn't at all sure we'd be able to change rooms. So I didn't shower at all and tried to get some sleep after discovering that the bed was not very comfortable. The next morning the clerk tried to tell me I should have called, but really there would not have been a way to remedy this. I had serious doubts about the cleanliness of the place after this because clearly no one had tried to clean that shower or they would have reported the problem to the management. I have had my doubts about Days Inn in general recently, but this place solidified my opinion that Wyndham is not offering any quality in this brand at all.

Walls visibly dirty, carpet so stained I refused to go barefoot, tub floor moved under my feet as I showered, mold in shower, inches of dust behind bed/headboard. No staff to check me in. Door was locked with sign saying staff was out of office. Mysteriously, she answered the phone when it rang though. Then she saw myself & another guest waiting to check in. Heard sirens all night, although I don't fault the hotel for this.
