The room is clean. The staff is great. The computers havent worked since the 25th.this is the 30th. They werent sure they had a room. Couldnt have a key. Ice machine on 2nd floor was unplugged. Tv did t work until we figured out the hdmi cable had been unplugged. This is after being on the road for 13+ hours. We were disappointed.

Staff was very friendly. Everyone was pleasant with intent to make your stay special. The room was spacious, clean and looked freshly renovated. The complimentary breakfast was very good with many choices. Honestly, I did not expect how nice it was. I was pleasantly surprised!

We stayed at a hotel just across the street on our way down to Ocracoke Island. Let’s just say thumbs down. So I called Holiday Inn Express and made some inquiries about the beds in particular. We took a chance and booked it and this will now be THEE hotel we stay at coming and going from Ocracoke. I was very pleased with the beds in particular. The breakfast buffet had several good items to be had. The hotel was clean and felt updated and because of our experience here, we will give other Holiday Inn Expresses a chance, someplace that hasn’t been on our radar in the past.

When we entered the room there was a chlorine smell to the room. Told staff about it and they said it was due to the cleaning process. Very over powering smell.
