Toilet ran all night, door stop broken. Seems like little things but definitely makes you think about what else was missed in the room

We stayed for one night on our trip home - we love Hampton Inn's because we always find them clean and we feel safe.

Our stay was during a road trip so we were only there one night but the front desk was friendly and the breakfast was hot and the hotel was clean and we felt safe. Those are the things that matter to people in their 70's.

I received and email at 3pm asking us how check in went. We didn’t check I. Until 10pm. Out card had been charged $215. When we got to the hotel we received a Key and proceeded to our room. The key didn’t work and we could hear a dog barking from the room. Went back downstairs and asked about it. Apparently someone with the same last name was checked into our room with our card on file and were told their was a pet fee. We finally got a new room and received a call that we needed to come down so they could get a card for incidentals. My husband refused since they had already over charged us. Thankful they had 1 room left in the hotel we were able to check into. The floors in the bathroom were dirty. Overall I thankful I had a place to sleep after an 18 hour day.

酒店回复: I would like to apologize for the issue with your stay, I've spoken with my front desk staff about this issue so this kinda mistake doesn't happen again and I would also like to let you know that your card never got changed for no pet fee at all and he did give us a card last night but we waiver the incidentals fee so that the charges wouldn't be on there and return the card back to your husband and apologize once again for the mix up that my staff had made.

Bad info
Hotel said we could pay cash when we got there and they may us use the card on file. We called twice before coming and both times they said we could pay cash and nothing would go on card. Did not communicate with us correctly

Smelled awful! Animal odor! No walk in shower,dirty floors,trash under bed,uncomfortable bed. No blinds to close-to bright to sleep.
