Stay away from being used as an illegal migrant hotel. GREEDY IHG wanting all the money they can get. This hotel was a cheaper option for our tourists and business men and woman and now it’s been taken away from them. Full of young aged fighting fit men. Disgusting. Stop the boats. We don’t want you hear!

Booked this hotel for June 2026 for an overnight stay to see That That at Etihad. Booking confirmed. We were very pleased with the price. A few days later they emailed and cancelled with no explanation - just a ‘Your booking is cancelled’ email. Now we can’t find anywhere we can stay over which still has availability and isn’t charging a lot more. Very annoyed and disappointed by this.

PLACE IS NOT CLOSED IT IS JUST USED AS A REFUGEE CAMP NOW, would say avoid but the police will stop you going anywhere near the building horrible management, horrible ihg hotel,never ever ever ever book here you’ll be wasting your time…………..

"Manchester Central Park was a delightful surprise during my visit to the city. The vast green spaces, dotted with beautiful flowers and serene lakes, provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The park is well-maintained and offers ample opportunities for activities like walking, jogging, and even picnicking. The highlight for me was watching the ducks glide effortlessly on the lake, which added a touch of tranquility to my trip. Have used this hotel many times for events at the Etihad. Booked again in February 2024 for an event in January 2025, received an email today (September 2024) informing me the hotel is ‘unexpectently’ closed! From other information it seems the hotel was closed before I booked. Appalling customer service from a multi-national company.

Booked this holiday inn through hotel gift in September 2023 for an overnight on Saturday 18th May 2024 as hadn’t seen the warning it was closed. My husband stumbled across the warning below yesterday. We contacted hotelgift who told us the booking was still valid, we then contacted IHG who confirmed the booking but when on pressed further then confirmed the hotel was closed!!! But then wanted to know if we’d still like the booking!!! They couldn’t cancel the booking as booked with a third party and hotelgift say they’ve not been told the hotel is closed! Absolutely no customer service or care from either company, now we’re left out of pocket having to book a last minute hotel at a much higher cost!

Excellent Staff, the lovely Miki on reception and her colleague Avelina were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them and my booking was complex. I was there for 6 days. Cannot praise the Location and hotel more highly. I will return soon.

Food is incredibly limited here and lots of options not even available from the five or six in the selection. Wi-Fi also doesn’t work on first floor although seems ok on other floors. Rooms partially cleaned every day but cleaning seems to be a bit bit and miss. Would I recommend going here. No for any long stays as the beds are uncomfortable and because of the limited menu. All in all better options available.
