I did not like parking or rather the lack of parking in front of building only 2 handicap spaces. Hard to find building itself because it’s behind other business so you have to enter between two building. Like parking in their backyard

Found a gem in Starkville.
We had a horrible experience at another hotel in starkville and i swore id never go to that hotel again so i was really pleased to find that the Holiday Inn Express was so nice. Close to campus. I slept very well. We hace a new favorite hotel in Starkville

My room had mold. Ac was leaking mold on the vents. The bathroom had mold in the ceiling over the shower and on the wall. I asked to get another room. Staff was super nice. The other two rooms also had mold on the ac. This location needs to be remodeled to get rid of all the mold. Will not be back.

I liked the ease of the location. Since it is in the middle of town it was easy to get everywhere.

Front desk staff was fantastic. Basic hotel breakfast. Room was fine. Hotel was conveniently located.

The room had roaches and flies. We had to move to a new room. When you kill one and another is coming. That was very inconvenient to move to another room.

Pleasant stay but could have been better
The rooms were in excellent condition however the hospitality upon arrival could have been better. I don't if the young lady was having a bad day or not but she wasn't pleasant. We were in town for a somber occasion and a little Southern hospitality could have really helped to brighten the mood. The night auditor as well as the housekeeping staff gave the comfort that we needed. I will visit this hotel again because I understand that we are all human and I believe in second chances.

Hotel was very nice and all of the staff were wonderful. My only complaint was the room just wouldn’t cool off. The air was running but the room was still warm.

The room was nice. The tub needs some attention in the shower curtain needed to be replaced quite a while ago.

Arrived 3:35pm on Friday, Checked in, went to room and dropped off luggage and left for fireworks, I realized after leaving the hotel that there was no saga in the room I called hotel from fireworks event and spoke with Yolonda and explained the situation she called me back and explained I should of told her at check-in so I thought my bad my mistake..came back at to hotel 11pm and went to room, It didn’t sit well with me as there were 5 of us in the room and it only had 2 Queen beds… I went to front desk and spoke to Mitchell first he was so understanding and took 100% accountability and told me it was the front desks fault and not mine which I appreciated so much. he offered me a partial refund or an extra room comped So I took the extra room which I could get the next day, so next day checked in to the second room and who ever was in it before us wet the bed so we couldn’t stay there… so got a 3rd room from Yolonda this was not a great situation at all and only thanks to Mitchell and Yolonda it was sorted with a lot of moving about, so I’m telling everyone to make sure your room is correct when you arrive at front desk
