Locale and cleanliness lead the way. Breakfast was meh but not a deal breaker. Would def stay here again if in area as value and locale make it a prime spot. Staff does a great job but do seem a little shorthanded.

Great hotel, staff was friendly and accommodating. Was able to check in 2 hours before check in. Front desk manager Seerane was great and was able to help with a confusion with my payment. Highly recommend this hotel.

My family stayed at this hotel for 1 night on our way to Vermont. Our toilet overflowed right before we were checking out and we rushed out the door. Unfortunately, that led us to leave my sons medication and a few other items. We called a few hours later and was told they had found the medication. I informed them that I would call back to let them know what we wanted them to do with it (ship it, or hold it). We had to figure out what was easiest , but he needed the medicine and we were away on vacation. I called back the next day and was told they did not in fact have the medication. I was shocked. They said they couldn't find it and when I pressed to have them inquire further (since someone had already told me they had it) I was told there wasn't anything they could do. I pressed further and asked for a manager. I was told none were there but they would call a manager and call me back. NO CALL BACK! We had to drive back through albany at the end of the trip because thankfully the following we day (after much pressing) they found our mdication. Bottom line is not one person cared to help us. We had to insist, call multiple times, and push to get information. They had a total "i can't help you" mentality. We were extremely disapointed in the customer service.

Very old building. Air conditioning not working, very hot I'm room. Pool is not heated, hot tub has no water. Disappointed in this hotel, as excuses were given that the building is very old. But they have no issue taking bookings and taking our $$.

Checked in after 10 pm. The air conditioning wasn’t working in our room. Went to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work. My husband went down to the desk to tell them about the air conditioning not working. The guy said they had 20 complaints and would get to us when they can. There was clearly a problem with the air conditioning that existed when we checked in and they failed to tell us. I took a shower and the tub did not drain. It was after 11 pm and the room was still hot. I used my cell phone to call the hotel. The guy was extremely rude and said the maintenance guy will be there when he can. As it got close to midnight I called the front desk again and asked to speak to the supervisor. She informed me that the maintenance guy had left for the night and they did not have a clean room to move us. She said the building is a hundred years old and the air conditioning does not work well with the heat they were having. Her solution was to bring us a fan and apologize. Our friends’ room had the same problem with the air and their toilet was stopped up. This hotel definitely has issues.
