There are not many accommodation options in Mannar but this hotel, although it seems to cater more to local businessmen, was good enough for a few days. The rooms were large and comfortable. What made a big difference was the great service given by the staff, in particular Noeleen, who seems to be running everything there. She is super helpful and a lovely person.

Well maintained hotel and great service. Fantastic food. Rooms were clean and the furniture and linen were of good quality. Staff were always smiling and willing to help. Including the Manageress. Enjoyed the 3 days there. We were a group of 21 but this is excellent for a solo traveller also

Nice hotel to stay in Mannar. The staffs are so nice and best customer service. We really enjoyed their food. Mr. Mathan who is in charge is very helpful. He made us feel like staying at home. Dinner and breakfast is amazing. They have the best cook. Whenever we changed our food order multiple times without any hesitation they served us happily. Would recommend this hotel for their service.

This modern hotel offers spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good bathrooms and small items such as a kettle and teas was appreciated. A good, small restaurant is attached to the hotel. Good breakfast as spart of the tariff. Especially enjoyable was having dinner on the first-floor expansive terrace at night. The hotel is well located to explore the compact city of Mannar. The excellent and experienced Noeline manages Hotel Agape with an attentive eye. She is ably assisted by Fazil, who like Noeline speaks good working English and is switched on with a sense of good service and what guests expect and need. I suspect Noeline knows everyone in Mannar and can organise any guest’s needs. She organised a very good guide, Rohani, to help me explore Mannar and Talaimannar by tuk tuk. Mannar is off-the-beaten track for most tourists but is worth a visit. Interesting landscape, lovely variety of birdlife and scees of daily life.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Agape due to an amazing lady by the name of Noelline. I think that she was the manager since she was the queen of multi tasking. She was a one stop shop. She did everything at this hotel. She was the front office manager, the restaurant manager and the Chef. The hotel itself is not the greatest, but it had Noelline which compensated for all the shortcomings!! It was located in short proximity to the place we met the guide who took us to see the Flemingo’s early in the morning!.Noelline was a wealth of information and told us about which places we should visit while in Mannar.

The manager (Noeline) at the front desk was one of the most helpful and enthusiastic people I have ever met. We had jumbled our dates, yet she accommodated us with good grace and arranged our rooms swiftly with ease. Food - the food was excellent. Simply that. I have been to bigger hotels in the area, however, I have never experienced such great taste in any of them. You have some authentic Jaffna dishes that they make to perfection. We tasted most of their devilled dishes, fried rice and noodles. They were all sublime. Rooms - we had booked 1 double room and 1 single room. They were extremely clean and well maintained. They have hot water and air conditioning which work well. The beds are comfortable for a good night's sleep. Overall, I'd say it's one of the most hassle-free and relaxing hotels I've been to. I'll definitely be coming back to see their smiles and food!
