We stayed 1 night going home to Rio Rancho, NM. The room we stayed at was on 2nd floor. The hall smelled very badly of mold and mildew. The room was so bad I gagged and I am a nurse who has handled many nasty odors. The clerk gave us a 2nd room and went to the room with us. It was better, but still was still stinky. Clerk said, “It isn’t setting off my allergies.” That is because it has smelled like that for years! The heat/ac had to be turned off because the fan made so much noise. We didn’t complain because we were tired and it was late. The rooms look like they are 60 years old. There are only 2 little garbage cans and no recycle. The hotel still has smoking rooms. Isn’t it about time time to get into the 21st century??!! There were only 2 hand towels, 2 wash clothes, and 1 large towel. I stayed there with my husband. We didn’t want to shower in the very old and yellow looking shower with beer glass shower doors. After going into the bathroom, entering the room it smelled of mold and mildew, I suspect from years of moisture in the air. I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again.

This would have been a “one” rating but it was not a Motel 6. Check in staff was surly. We asked for a room on the side away from the interstate and were told all those rooms were filled. The three story hotel had 31 rooms on each level and there were maybe 10 vehicles in the parking lot so not sure why this request was denied.There was black mold in the shower. The thermostat did not work. Breakfast was only fair with the oatmeal all water. Overall not what we have come to expect from a Hampton.

Room was great. The one thing needing addressed is the REALLY BRIGHT LIGHT on the outside of the front of the building that is directed at one of the room windows!!! Unbelievable!!

The bed was comfortable, but that's about all this property had to offer. The staff seemed disappointed we showed up for our reservation. We were given the "Governor Mason Suite", but I don't think Governor Mason would be proud of that. The whole building is hot and musty, there was no ventilation in the bathroom, the blinds were broken, and if you sat on the end of the bed the whole thing started flipping up. This was a mobility access room so the whole bathroom was a shower. It was supposed to be divided by a shower curtain, but since that was a foot off the floor the whole floor got wet and stayed wet.
We stayed here because we thought a king and sofa bed would be roomier than the two queens we had at Lucille's on the way in. But at this point, this has been a pretty consistent standard at Hiltons so I'm not sure how they got rated so highly. Keep on driving 15 minutes to Lucille's at Weatherford.

If you are a smoker then go for it. We aren’t and we mistakenly thought all Hilton properties were smoke-free. Nope! We always ask for top floor. Well it was between heavy smoke smell and/or a skunk . The entire floor reeked ! The hallway, our room (supposedly a non-smoking room). We even tried a towel at the base of the door to mitigate the smell. No luck! We finally moved rooms. The 2nd floor was better but I don’t know if we will ever stay here again and we are Hilton Diamond Members. The clerk was very nice so this isn’t on her. This is all on the hotel! I don’t get any public facility allowing smokers to ruin their facility as there is NO way to get that smell out!

Place was quiet and clean. Fridge and shower were great. Just what i needed on short notice.

Everything was great except the pool pump wasn’t working so the pool was closed- one of the reasons we booked here is for the indoor pool for the kiddos- still had a great time and enjoyed the hotel

Room was clean, service was great/friendly. Breakfast was good with good variety but on top of all that, April at the desk went above and beyond when I realized after driving 3 hours away, that I was pretty sure I had left my iPad sitting in the bed. She stopped what she was doing to go up and get it and call me back to verify she had it safe and sound. Then Walt took the time to ship it back to me the following Monday and call me again to assure me it was on the way! Great/honest folks, who care! It doesn't get much better. Many thanks to everyone!!
