The place is miles from civilisation, as we know it. he village pub is scary, the two filling stations cannot tell you how to get to it, Google maps could not find it, nor Waze! I stayed there twice, the first experience was 16/17/18 November. No shower gel. Room was noisy from above, goodness knows what was going on.. Second stay was 30th Nov, and 1/2nd Dec. This time, a first floor room, much quieter. No hand soap this time. It was full, but wouldn't pump. The bathroom was disgusting, with an unclean floor, peeling paint, and a foul looking toilet bowl. People should be treated better. Sadly, the company I work for have an account with this bunch of amateurs, and I have no control over it.

This place needs some investment and updating big time. Bring your own ear plugs and don't expect any form of comfort or rest. My advice is to avoid this place in it's current state. Also has cost me a new alloy as the carpark is broken like the windows and most the stuff in the room. You will hear the road all night as the windows do not seal see video also the carpark has pot holes so big it cracked my wheel and the sinks have crap plugs that don't work see photos. Sorry nothing positive to add

I came here with my boyfriend as it was local to his mum’s house in east bergholt and when we got there, even getting to the hotel is a hassle with the massive potholes in the carpark. Once inside we checked in, lobby looks disgusting and so does all the corridors, very hospital looking and absolute stunk. Once inside the room, the room stunk of something horrible and was just dirty looking. There is about one plug to share between you, a broken shower with moldy shower curtains, and dirty floors. We lasted about 20 minutes before deciding that we cannot stay here its not healthy. When checking out the receptionist didnt care whatsoever that we said its absolutely filthy and we cant stay here. She didnt care whatsoever, no apology, no refund. Absolutely disgusting would not recommend this hotel to anyone. What a waste of my time and money.

The Travelodge in Capel St. Mary is basic, but clean. It is a peaceful location despite being next to the A12. We were on the ground floor in room 11 on the North East facing side of the building. There is a lot of space in the room so a luggage rack or additional chair to put a bag on would be nicer than grovelling on the floor to get at your suitcase. The garden centre 2 minutes drive away is a lovely place to get breakfast.

It’s cheap and basic but the room was spotless and the bed was comfy- I had a really good sleep. Yes there is some road noise but it does quieten down and I slept without noticing it. No complaints and would use again.

A nice 2 day stopover conveniently off the A12, clean & tidy room with helpful staff who assisted with an early check-in. Only downside was the room wasn't tidied on the second day, with no fresh towels or coffee topped up plus no soap in one of the dispensers..

The bed was clean and comfy, and I slept well. The room and bathroom are in need of updating. I was concerned by the lack of security in the evening as the doors to the hotel reception and into the hotel room area were open wide, although there was no one on the reception.

Good travelodge. Clean and tidy, staff friendly and helpful. Good value and service. Free carpark. Only downside is very closely to A12 ,can hear slight rumble of the traffic. Keep the windows closed and it's not a problem.
