Clean, comfortable room, value for money, excellent location close to M4. Outstanding customer service from Chris in reception, made me feel so welcome and I was very impressed with the extra care shown for a lone female traveler.

Staff were welcoming and friendly, was surprised for an airport hotel it was quiet and reasonably prised with a toby carvery on site. Room was clean so was the hotel its self.

Only short stay to rest before a three hour car journey following a long haul flight and safety reasons. The member of male staff on duty was both professional and very polite. Went out of his way to settle us in a credit to the hotel chain. Rooms tired but functional

My Wife and I came to this Travelodge because of it's out of the way location. If you come here you will need a car to get around, yet saying that I'm sure there is a great taxi and bus service. The Hotel it's self was wonderful. The staff there could not do enough for us. The one name I do remember was (Chris). He was working hard when we arrived at the lodge and he also checked us in. As this was our first time at this Travelodge and the area , Chris and one of your night duty guys helped us to get around Barry and also gave us info on the Train service. We had a great stay and can't wait to come again.. Rooms were great, Value was great. It was spotlessly clean and our sleep was not interrupted by noise. Thank you all for taking care of us. Stayed in June 2025

Best reception we’ve ever received at a hotel and we’ve travelled extensively. Chris on reception was friendly, professional and absolutely lovely. We were offered fresh iced water and earplugs. Whilst the hotel is on a busy road we didn’t find it noisy. Exceptionally clean lovely travelodge, would definitely recommend and use again. We stayed one night whilst attending a gig in Cardiff. Well placed for the airport but also only a 5 minute drive to Barry train station where we caught a train into Cardiff. Large car park - Toby carvery next door which we didn’t use.

We recently stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting the area for some job interviews ahead of a move. The staff here were nothing short of perfect - incredibly polite, helpful & nothing was too much for them. Just an incredibly welcoming stay. The rooms are typical of a travelodge in that they are simple but you can’t expect super fancy for the price you pay. They were clean & huge! Having stayed in the Cardiff M4 hotel though I’d definitely recommend this one over that one any day. This one is actually clean, rooms were huge which is extra handy if visiting with dogs & as previously said the staff were lovely. You’ve got Toby carvery next door which is convenient - if staying on a Sunday it does get busy in the car park because of this. Will definitely use this hotel again!
