My wife and I really enjoyed our visit. Our room was on the square and walking distance to the MAD. Great restaurants for all meals near by. Highly recommend.

The profile picture posted is very misleading. I’m not sure where in this establishment that picture was taken. The check-in was not easy. I had booked on-line, seems logical in this day and age. I did not receive a code for my checkin to get my key. (It is contactless check in. You put a code in a key box to get your key). I had to call a number on my email for the code. The parking lot is not clearly marked. I had to search for the lot. Best of all, the carpet is old and feels dirty. That must be why they have these awful smelling “air fresheners” hanging in the room. I took them down from the filing fan and put them outside. Hopefully my fragrance induced headache will subside soon.

Quaint place with genuine antique furniture. My suite was great with nice bathroom, bed, Keurig. I’ll be back, but i am just not fond of “contactless” check-in where i make a phone call and get instructions about where to find my key, etc. There’s no front desk to approach if i have a question or need. Breakfast is excellent, downtown is beautiful!

This is one of the best places I have stayed in all my vacations. We stayed at the Mason House. The room was very clean and stocked very well with towels and everything else you may need. A big shout out to Jamie who was very helpful reserving the room and exact instructions on how to check in!

This was a really interesting place to stay. The family that owns these has several different choices of lodging downtown that are managed together. We stayed at the Jefferson option which is the least expensive. It is up a LONG flight of stairs but I think that is par for the course for historic lodging. These people really think about hospitality, for example they had TWO suitcase racks, not just one. They had a microwave and a fridge, which is unusual for this sort of inn. They had useful instructions for using the coffeemaker. Most of the rooms seem to have a combo dressing room and bathroom which is nice and there were places to put our toiletries bags. It is very quiet. The restaurant associated with the hotel is very good. Part of it is in an old railroad car that they have renovated. I actually bought a book about the owners and it seems that they have basically brought back their whole downtown single-handedly. There was a wifi issue that took a while to fix but they got it done about as quickly as one could. I first tried to book on a hotel booking website but it said that there was no availability. I REALLY wanted to stay here so I contacted the hotel directly and they had plenty of options.

The concept is so cute with the old train car and the courtyard. The room was adorable and very clean and felt very homey and safe. We really enjoyed our stay!

Really enjoyed it
The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The bed was extremely nice and I slept like a log. There was plenty of storage space for clothes and the bathroom was big and comfortable. Would recommend staying there to anyone who asks.
