Best pub burgers! I normally steer clear of pub burgers to avoid disappointment, however today was an exception and rather than disappoint I was extremely pleased. Being a bit of a burger snob I can honestly say this was one of the very best burgers I have eaten.

Very good food and ok beer. The outside front seating is a bit grim (if the weather's nice) and the courtyard is better. Expensive.

Fantastic local - a village anyone would be proud to live in.

Perfect little retreat.
Perfect place to stay, as a good centre for exploring. The rooms were very clean, and had everything needed for a few days away. Meals at the Pub/Hotel were varied and delicious and reasonably priced.
A little awkward getting in and out of the bed as it was against a wall on one side, but overall it was manageable.

Charming but cosy…
The Plume of Feathers is a very charming country pub in the beautiful upmarket village of Crondall. There are lots of pleasant walks from the door. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful and car parking and access to the rooms was good. The dinner menu was quite limited and breakfast whilst nicely presented and tasty, was at extra costs. The three rooms are in a converted barn off the rear patio area, and are rather small. We were able to hear a lot of conversation from the next room, and also from the patio tables. No hair-drier was provided though we didn’t enquire as we had brought our own. We enjoyed our stay overall, and it served our purposes (we were attending a wedding nearby).

Nothing to like particularly, certainly not unique.
Lack of information on meal times so were disappointed when required.
Lack of ventilation made for uncomfortable nights, it what seem like a garden shed.

We stayed here for two nights while attending a service at the church.
The owners are charming and nothing was too much trouble.
The accommodation was adequate for the two nights, we found it difficult to maintain the heat balance in the room and it was fairly chilly in the pub , the good food and atmosphere made up for this.
