an almost perfect place to stay to break a long M6 journey; clean room; no noise; Greggs for breakfast but bring your own dinner or expect to order in. So almost perfect!

We stayed in Room No 38, it smelt very musty as soon as you entered. There was also green showergel residue left on the bath from the previous occupant. The room was very tired looking too. We didnt bother complaining as it was Xmas Day and we were very tired but I certainly wouldn't stay there again sadly, normally use the one at Talke and thats great.

Unfortunately the grounds of the hotel have a real bad rat issue. Not inside the hotel. But on nearly every occasion of entering or leaving the hotel - there were rats running across the carpark - they’re quite happy to run up past and near you. Not great if you don’t like the things.

The staff at this hotel are phenomenal. Jaffa went above and beyond to rectify our mistake on booking the wrong day, with patient’s professionalism and a consistent smile despite the fact somehow we managed to break the whole hotel website. A lot of emails and calls to head office, support, IT and his colleague Carla who was also incredible. We had our rooms and felt no worse off. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation, but they smelt clean and were well made. Definitely not a hotel for the high maintenance and hopefully next on Travelodge’s renovation plans. But the staff are incredible

Returned for a stopover ahead of a demanding day's performance . Comfortable bed ,warmly welcomed ...ticks the boxes ! Jaffa set the tone ,lifting spirits after a tiring journey .

Conveniently located adjacent to Jcn 16 M6 and on the A500/534 leading to Wales. Next door is a Shell garage with a reasonable shop for food, fuel and sundries. Especially important as there is no where else in the immediate vicinity to eat after 5pm. Alsager and its golf course is also a few miles up the road so quite convenient.
