Checked in around 6pm and the quine at the desk was quite helpful then and later on with wifi issue. In the end i had to turn my phone off/on to get wifi to work. The Location was ok quiet ish mostly traffic going to the what seemed to be 24hr petrol stn and a certain fast food restaurant. The Room 212. The room was the usual with the exception of a missing table to go with the seat/chair cause there was plenty of room. The bed comfy enough The bathroom was not ok a bit cramped for the toilet between the wall and sink. Shower over bath water pressure not the best and shelf was marked. The room clean except for dirty ceiling above desk next to tv. No bulb in light above mirror at desk and the window seemed to broken when you opened it like a door. This would have been mentioned at check out but no one was there.

OK, so travelodges aren't renowned for quality nor prime locations. However when there's a feral family resident; can only assume they're resident as they were there on arrival and on early departure/escape, decision was made to pack up and get the heck out of Glenrothes. Maw, paw, and the 4 or 5 weans. A business location only, poorly selected option to book for an event locally. McD and petrol station within sight. My fault entirely!

The hotel was clean and the one member of staff we saw was friendly. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Also, no hairdryer available nor an iron. These items would have been very much appreciated.

Reasonably priced hotel. Room was basic but clean and the bed was very comfortable. Had to ask for a couple of glasses for the room but the request was dealt with straight away. Very friendly staff. We would stay again.

the accomodation is excellent and the staff are very helpfull. however at the moment and my visit was 17th March 2025. All that week and maybe this week when you are reading this there are roadworks directly out side the hotel that make a lot of noise from 9pm until 6am. If I had known I would have stayed elsewhere

We found the room spotlessly clean and cannot fault that, however our experience was not about the accommodation, but our actual attempt to book a room on arrival. Our trip was to surprise a friend in nearby Kirkcaldy. We were not aware that if you dont book online, you are not normally able to pay on arrival. The receptionist it would appear was unable to help us herself, but after three attempts to book the room in the foyer, online via cellphone, and knowing we had just made a seven hour journey, she consulted her manager and tried to obtain the booking via her desk computer, to no avail, Each time we tried to book it via our mobile phone, it would not accept our cards! Three times we tried to book, each time the price was going up! Eventually, after seeing I was totally shattered and exhausted, being an elderly gentleman, her manager gave her a phone number to ring direct and our card was accepted at last, at yet another higher price. I would of thought that a Lodging house, by its very name, would allow you to pay on arrival, be it at a slightly higher price than on-line. Our plan was to spend three nights at the travelodge, but after our stressful experience, we left the following morning. Pleased to say, we found a hotel closer to our friend, which offered us nice accomodation and included breakfast, for less than the room only at the Travelodge.
