Visited her to see My daughter the app didn't work, took my money with no confirmation. Sorted that out, on arrival told my room had been cancelled and someone should have rung me. No one had, the accessible room had a bath so high it was unuseable. Managed to get that sorted then told that the parking was subject to there being a space and if there were none I had to sit and wait or of course go somewhere elsa and pay for it. Very sloppy and uncaring service.

Great hotel, great staff I was checked in by Holly, she was really friendly, helpful and informative. The room was spotless. Can’t fault my experience. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Great location, very central, close to rail station, Aldi, and high street shops and restaurants. Our Standard Plus room on the top floor was definitely very quiet. The hotel is clean although the carpet in the bedroom could do with a wash. Excellent temperature control in the room. Comfortable bed, very small table with coffee machine and kettle. No bedside tables. Bathroom is very clean but quite small. The shower is fixed on the ceiling and has no manoeuvrability and not a huge flow of water but good temperature control. Very little shampoo comes out of the dispenser in the shower. Avoid the breakfast ‘to go’. Go to Marks & Spencer instead, just across the road. A hair dryer can be provided by Reception. Bring your own toiletries and favourite tea bags as you are only provided with 2 tea bags per day (and 2 kitkats). Towels can be changed every day if you ask, there is nowhere to dry them.

Stayed here Sunday night 23rd November. Stayed here many times and always great. The Receptionist on Sunday was excellent, believed she was by herself. Ext morning Housekeepers were so friendly and helpful. Cheers everyone there.

A welcome change to other Travelodge's I have stayed at. This is a wonderful location - handily placed near an M&S Foodhall, Wetherspoons, Lidl and Domino's Pizza! What I liked most about the place was the building - repurposing an old building, with bags of history. Sure, once in the rooms they are like other Travelodge's, but I didn't mind that. The staff were very friendly and I will definitely return as it's a great base for walking in the Peaks or the reservoirs near Hadfield.

Endless ENDLESS emails, they just kept coming and coming. You cannot unsubscribe or block in case one of them is important. I'm not using travelodge again. Who on earth thought spamming was a good idea

We paid £75 for one night the lady who greeted us on arrival was nice and helpful. The room was on the second floor and the first room on that floor 201 and although it was clean enough the soap dispenser was empty. We didn't complain as we were only staying one night so just used the shower wash. For the price we paid it was expensive and all night we could hear the entrance door opening and banging shut everytime anyone came in or out so not much sleep.

Room 211 had a defective kettle which flipped all the circuits and the TV. It took until 11 pm at night for the (very helpful) member of staff to solve the room problems

Good location, close to a Wetherspoon, Lidl and for the more upmarket, M&S Foodhall. Room was clean, comfortable and a good size, with THREE windows, all of which open, so plenty of fresh air. There are no accessible family rooms, so if you have a wheelchair and have use a standard family room, check the size of the doorway before booking as we found the [small adult] wheelchair would not fit into the bathroom from the main room.

Too long a journey to make in one go without getting too tired. Glossop was a convenient stopping off place
