We stayed at the Travelodge in Hartlebury with my wife for a night. We had to stop after several hours of driving. Very nice and cosy hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the room was heated throughout the night! Very good experience. They also are opposite of a great Indian restaurant which we visited and it was also a great experience. Definitely worth it as it was also great value for money!!!

HIGHLIGHT: Bev and Pauline delivered smashing exemplary service to rescue me from a hole. Saturday morning check-out: I dropped my OWN HOUSE-KEYS in the key-drop. Bev and Pauline went out of their way to note the address of my next lay-over (a 3 day stay in Birmingham) and got my house-keys back to me THERE, within 72 HOURS, OVER CHRISTMAS. This wasn't even just sending them back to my house - but making sure my keys intercepted with me while I was away for several days. Absolutely BRILLIANT. Thank you Bev and Pauline. THE STAY: The greeting/check-in was late and handled with friendliness and care - and the hotel has two cute cats too! Well decorated for Christmas in the foyer with some activities and books available for kids too. The room was standard but no less welcoming. The heating - it was a chilly night - was easy to access. The bed, pillows and sheets were really comfy. Plenty of linens and an easy to figure out shower was welcome on the next day, with a very early start. Tea and coffee provided in the room. Great, and exactly what I needed.

When we arrived we found we had made mistake with the booking. The wonderful lady at the desk was empathetic and really helpful and managed to amend our booking so we didnt have to worry. Had a great night's sleep and would definitely stay here again

Staying here for the 1st ever time, as the Travelodge in Kidderminster was atleast £300 more expensive for same amount of nights (5 nights in total), and yet was approximately a 10-12 minute drive away from where I needed to be. I was staying for the Severn Valley Railway Autumn Diesel Gala. And this hotel fitted the bill. With a very friendly welcome & being allocated a room on the 1st floor, over looking the car park, which meant I was able to keep an eye on my car. Only downside for this hotel, was it's close proximity to the main road the A449, but to be honest, it didn't disturb me that much. Looking forward to my return in 2026.

My initial observation on stepping into Room 29 was that the carpet hadn’t been cleaned. Indeed, it had probably not seen a vacuum cleaner for some considerable time, evidenced by the quantity of accumulated debris and the unlikelihood that the person who had deposited bits of grass was the same individual who had spilled party glitter. The party goer had not been the last occupant however; the shaved whiskers in the hand wash basin indicated a more recent male occupant. No detective skills required here! I turned the bed down. The sheets on one side of the bed had laundry creases; on the other side of the bed they were creased in the manner of having been slept on, together with some doubtful bits between the sheets that shouldn’t have been present in a freshly changed bed. These sheets had been smoothed and patted down, but definitely not changed. By this time the kettle was boiling so I turned to make a cup of tea. One cup had been given a cursory rinse, almost enough to remove the tea stains. The other, with a teaspoon in, was still waiting for its wash. I had arrived after a delayed journey very late at night with an early start due the following morning. Too tired to argue and decamp to another room I simply slept on the clean side of the bed. I sent feedback to Travelodge and have heard nothing back. You would have thought that they cared enough to at least acknowledge that their standards are falling below abysmal, but perhaps that's just too much to expect from Travelodge!

I had some plans changed for a trip I was originally planning to take with a friend, so I re-organized my whole trip to head up to Kidderminster area in order to meet up with someone I hadn't seen in ages, and explore an area i'd never been to before. The drive up from London took a while, and I was so tired from the flight and drive that the hotel was a welcome sight, indeed. Nat was so friendly when I checked in, and I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 nights here. When I needed to find an eye doctor for a minor contact lens, it was easy to get into Kidderminster. I got to the hairdresser just up the road at DeBeers Garden Centre super easily, also. I could easily have walked to the Hartlebury castle, but picked to drive instead to save some time. There were footpaths nearby to the castle that I used to go around the countryside a bit. The hotel is easily positioned to have great parking and still easy access to any activities I wanted to do - walking along the canal or going for a steam train ride was no problem. The staff were accommodating and friendly. I loved seeing the children's play area they have in the lobby, too! If you need to eat, there's a restaurant right across the parking lot, as well as a convenience store within easy walking distance at a petrol station nearby. Then of course the towns with more choices are very close by and easy to drive to also.

I am always a little dubious about using budget hotels but for what I wanted for a night near Kidderminster this choice was excellent. I had stayed there previously and had an issue with room cleanliness (which was addressed there and then) but the cleanliness this latest stay was outstanding. Another great plus point was total lack of noise from adjoining rooms and no traffic noise either. I woke to the sound of cooing doves outside the window instead. Altogether very satisfactory.
