My wife and I dealt with bedbugs for the first time in our life. They were crawlingon her back. Then having to take precautions and not take them home was crazy. Also what appeared to be fruit flies in the room from the sink. The bedbugs was the final straw after several stays over the years. When proof was brought to the front desk it was a don't care attitude from them and mgt as well. Sad as a customer our party should have been shown more compation with dealing with this. All our item had to be sealed in trash bags (everything in the rooms). Then brought home and handled individually to insure our homes did not have thus same issue.

Everything was wonderful. Rooms were nice, staff was nice and helpful, food at the market was good, and we loved all the activities.

I booked this place for the weekend for my birthday with my family. They have so much to do here for the kids you wouldn't have to leave and it wasn't packed or busy either. We were off doing other things for the most part of the trip but we finally got to check out their arcade room, play mini golf, play basketball, the kids played on the playground, played checkers, and so much more. Our kids want to go back to just stay and the hotel and not go anywhere else. That's how much they liked it. The hotel rooms were nice as well. They were clean and we had everything we needed so nothing to complain about. They even had a golf tournament going on while we were there and we would never have known if the front desk lady didn't tell us.

The staff at the resort were very friendly and very helpful and willing to go out of the way to make sure things were available to us. It was not a very busy time so that did make it easier. Enjoyed the sports courts and the rock painting was fun. The rooms were very nice and clean when we arrived. One side note- It would be nice to have an easier way to get from the presidential suites to the amenities, like a shuttle or a pathway off the main street. And also at least a few lights along the way for at night if you wanted to walk it.

Just checked out from a weeks stay. Check in quick, room very clean. Bed slept great. Kitchen had everything we needed. Now not so good. Upstairs we hauled our stuff no elevator or luggage carts. We had 2 towels and 2 washcloths each for our week stay. No big deal they advertise laundry. So technically they have 2 washers and they were always full. Asked front desk where was closest laundry ( 10 miles). No night stand on my side of the bed so I sat my glasses and book on the edge of the tub. Yep the tub /shower is in the bedroom . Smallest room we’ve had so far anywhere with this time share. We took out trash and had to go buy trash bags. Not once did we see housekeeping to ask . Grill wasn’t opened or snack market not one time that I saw . So these amenities listed are questionable. Pack plenty of clothes and extra towels /wash cloths my best advice. Putt putt course was fun but pool tables you had to pay for.

Extreme disappointment with Holiday Inn and this “resort”. The whole company needs new ownership and management let alone their individual resorts or hotels. Customer service is basically nonexistent. Reservations are very hard to get regardless of location. The reservations we have managed to secure have all been awful, this resort is no exception. Between Apple Mountain and Branson we have experienced mold, mildew, deep set in stains on the furniture and carpet, carpet coming off the subfloor, 1980s appliances, and the bathrooms falling apart. Holiday Inn charges us $10k+ annually to be a part of their “Club” and these are the conditions they provide. I have never seen any evidence of the updated and remodeled resort rooms they said we could use any time. “Any time” is more accurately “almost never” and “updated rooms” is more like “slums”. They told us we would own top tier property but in reality they want us to keep chasing better rooms with upgrades that ultimately do not change anything. It is an endless circle of debt and no improvements to the facilities. We will take our business elsewhere.

Apple Mountain Resort is a beautiful place and great location. It was so peaceful and relaxing. You really wouldn’t have to leave the resort unless you wanted to do something specific. This was our second time staying and we enjoyed it as much as the first time.

Clean and quiet. An easy drive away from Helen, GA and several nice hikes including Tallulah Gorge and Brasstown Bald. The facilities are simple but adequate. The pool was closed for the season the hot tub and activity area were open and nice. Kids enjoyed the theater and sand volleyball court. They have put-put and disc golf on-site. Check in process was simple and painless and staff were friendly and helpful.

The resort itself was nice, but we had several days with temperatures above 80 degrees and the pool was closed until the end of May. This was a big disappointment for us on our trip.
