Nice hotel stayed 3 days for my mother-in-law 99th birthday party in Athens. Very convenient only 4 minutes from the hotel. We are from Michigan so outside the hotel my 3 grandchildren got to watch the butterflies in the field next door the hotel.

The room was very clean and the bed comfortable, but the couch was very old and not inviting at all. The desk chair was terrible. The coating had literally peeled from the top half and the bottom half. The breakfast was very limited and most of it was super quick foods, not healthy. The bananas even looked sad. The sausage was oke, but the potatoes were cold and tasted undercooked.

Dated is one thing I’m willing to overlook but dirty and in a state of disrepair is another story. Ice machine inoperable, torn curtains, stained carpet and dust on several surfaces. Breakfast was actually pretty decent but out of three dispensers coffee ran out?!? Total incompetence on the hotel breakfast attendant. Also card keys didn’t work and I later read that this is an ongoing problem at this location. How this place received a high rating is a total mystery to me. Overall the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in twenty years.

Staff was very accommodating and nice. Beds were nice however room showed its age. Carpet and bathroom floors were not that great. We wore flip flops or socks to walk around the room. Breakfast wasn’t that great.
