Room cramped and a tad dated. Resturant under construction so no breakfast thay was advertised. Great location.

Check in clerk was rude and disheveled. The room had dirty walls and ceilings, and only one loudly functioning a/c unit. My “suite” had a 20” tv barely visible from The bed. The bar, restaurant, pool, and hotub are all closed. When I remarked that the hotels own website didn’t reflect any of these closures, the rude clerk said “well that a corporate run website” No apologies for inconvenience. Then we were told “there will be a lunch bag with a granola bar or a muffin or whatever on the counter in the morning. There is no breakfast”

The toilet was broken. The chain in the cistern wasn’t attached properly. The iron chord wouldn’t stay extended making it difficult and a bit dangerous to use. Also the bathroom could’ve been cleaner as there was hair in the floor. Staff are always friendly and rooms generally clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Went to check in online and it wouldn't load. Checked other webpages, they worked fine. So when I came inside to check in, no one was at the desk. I called out, and nothingness. Frustrated, I walked back out to the car and tried to check in again. It was slow and took me through the process, but it never gave an actual confirmation. I returned back inside, still no one at the desk, but I heard voices in the backroom. This time, When I called out someone came. He was polite and got me checked in pretty quick from when he first started helping. Its an older hotel, which is fine, but the room had an awful smell smack you in the face when you walked in. The room was small, but adequate in size. The last thing and the reason why I am giving such a low score is the fact that the cleaning staff walked into my room at 11:30AM and woke me up even though I had a late checkout. 1PM checkout. I was never able to get back to sleep. It might not seem like a big deal or just a little mistake, but if they have staff working here who don't even check the checkout times, imagine what else.they don't train for.

The next more when I went to the window to open the drapery, my feet got wet! The floor was drenched! We did tell the check-out person. A discount would have been nice.

Starnes great and made us feel welcomed. Ensure we knew all the amenities and where they were and all dining options. They slowed down to be personal and take interest in or travels and what was most important. They ensured we received the best room possible and the sunset and sun rise over the river was amazing.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very small and there is no way the bed was a queen size…it was a full. But it was advertised as queen.
