We stayed for 2 nights on a rest and recharge package and very much enjoyed our stay, even though the weather was wet and grey outside. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were professional and attentive, without being overly fussy. We made full of the spa and the massages were very good. What was a very pleasant surprise was that all the staff were clearly very well trained and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful at all times.

What a wonderful experience from start to finish. This is a truly beautiful, traditional style hotel, elegant, welcoming and full of character. The atmosphere feels refined yet relaxed, exactly what you hope for when staying somewhere special. The restaurant and food were absolutely amazing. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour, clearly prepared with care and pride. What impressed me most, however, was the exceptional attention to detail from the staff. At no point during our stay were we asked for our room number or name, they simply knew. Everything flowed seamlessly and effortlessly, which speaks volumes about the hotel, communication and professionalism behind the scenes. It made us feel genuinely looked after rather than processed. The standard of service was excellent throughout and the team should be incredibly proud. We will most certainly return.

This is truly a beautiful hotel. There is a small but adequate spa which offers treatments. The bedrooms are lovely and ours had a view of the gardens. It was immaculately clean which is a big issue for me. The food was amazing as we had the Valentines Day menu and we weren’t disappointed with any of the courses given. Taste, presentation and hospitality was excellent and we definitely will be back plus we want to make use of your outside areas as the weather was inclement when we came.

This is a relaxed, efficient family run hotel with excellent facilities. In a great location and with the spa it is suitable for a winter break in fair weather or foul.

Having just come back from my second stay at Ilsington hotel I must stay this place is wonderful and I look forward to my next stay. Each and every one of the staff were wonderful, customer service here is top notch. Another highlight was the food, it was delicious! The hotel has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and the decor was a lovely country style. The room was clean, had everything we need and comfy and cosy.

We had a spa day at the Islington Hotel on the 8/2/26 , the spa facilities are great, we both had a massage, the consultant who gave me a massage was amazing, she was very professional and very friendly. We also had a meal included, which was suburb , we had roast striploin of beef , I have to say I haven't tasted beef like that for a very long time, it was very tender, the best I have had for a long time. The staff are also amazing, which is rare these days. I am sure we will be back again.

Staff very pleasant and helpful. Food excellent. Rained each day we stayed so glad to be able to use the swimming pool and spa. Bedoom very cosy and the hotel was furnished to a high standard.
