Convenient stop over but very tired and dated. Smelt damp and musty when we walked in. We didn’t stay in the Manor House but in the attached block of rooms. We didn’t eat there as only a short walk into the town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.

The hotel was really nice and the room we had was really substantial, warm & comfy. Staff were all friendly and helpful, food was very good to.

Not great
I only stayed for the night, but hardly got any sleep. The room was not very clean, there was a dead spider on the carpet & the Bathroom smelt musty? The room was extremely cold, & there was a banging window / door from somewhere else in the building throughout the night. On top of this the TV did not work. The whole hotel is really due a refresh - lots of chipped paint & out of date decor.

Lovely hotel.
Nice location. Friendly staff. Main Reception guy was really helpful.
Young lad at breakfast was polite and always had time to help. Barman was nice and polite and even gave us glass for the room.

Great gym. Nice to see that feedback on condition of damp hallway leading to it has been heeded and it's been deep-cleaned.

Stayed for two nights. We arrived and there was a big party on and was clear there had been some trouble. We asked for our room to be away from the noise, which the staff were able to do. The hotel was clean, but clearly needs an update. The wallpaper was pealing in the bedroom and the shower had no pressure. We were out during the day, so didn't spend too much time there, so was okay for our trip.
