This hotel was previously a Marriott and is now a bit run down, but with the view it has, if you have a bridge facing room, there is honestly nowhere else to stay you should stay in Constantine. The room was comfortable and staff super friendly but it is the view which makes it so amazing.

Seemingly 5 minutes before we arrived, Marriott pulled out and new owners took over. Even though Marriott signage is everywhere, even on the Kleenex box, it is not Marriott. Neverthless, the place was clean, served a decent (meaning abundant) buffet breakfast. Ate sumptious dinner there the evening we arrived. No complaints at all from me. I wonder when the new management will get their bearings. Sooner the better. Fine location, rooms with view of Constantine and it's bridges.

Stayed for 2 nights in July and this has to be one of my most memorable hotel stays ever! Great room with excellent views of the city. Breakfast buffet spread was awesome. Shout out to Ghofrane for being such a an angel. I reached the hotel late at night and was starving and she was extremely kind enough to sort out my dinner even though the restaurant was about to close and she was ending her shift. Love your energy and personality Ghofrane! Also to the reception lady (didn’t manage to get her name) who checked me in for her exceptional customer service. She got me a complimentary desset platter upon knowing that it was my birthday. I was extremely touched by this unexpected gesture. Keep up the awesome work ladies and the staff at Protea Constantine. True Algerian hospitality at its best!
