This was our 3rd trip back to Brightham House - we have already booked for next year. Scott and Alistair are exceptional hosts - nothing is too much trouble. Brightham House is beautifully decorated, we stayed in the Garden Room - the decoration is exceptional. We adore the garden for its tranquility - such a nice space to relax. Great walks into Hope Cove, Salcombe and surrounding areas. Highly recommend.

After our regular visits to stay with family in Salcombe, we always like to treat ourselves to a couple of nights in a local hotel. What an incredible find Brightham House turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that hosts Alistair and Scott have created something truly special. Brightham House isn’t just a boutique B&B, it’s an experience. The decor and attention to every detail in the communal areas and our room, The Cosy, is truly unique. Outside, their passion for design and hospitality continues in the tranquil garden that has been just as thoughtfully crafted to relax in. And equally important to the experience is breakfast in the Orangery, the highlight for me being the Gone Crabbing! breakfast consisting of Salcombe crab, avocado, spring onion, coriander, and poached eggs on Scott’s homemade toasted brown bread, topped with chorizo dust. Out of this world! We loved our stay so much we added an extra night, and would have stayed longer if not for work commitments. We will be returning!

We had a short break at Brightham House and Scott and Alister couldn’t have been more welcoming. Everything from the decor, to the exquisite breakfast, comfortable bed and delightful garden was perfect. We would highly recommend! The honesty bar was well stocked (a little less so by the time we left ) and there is a small gym located in the garden. The hotel is conveniently located for visits to beautiful Hope Cove, Salcombe and Kingsbridge. Further afield there is Dartmoor which has beautiful walks. The attention to detail here is second to none. Well done !

Brightham House had been recommended to us & we certainly weren’t disappointed. It’s quirky but fascinating too. Everywhere is spotless & comfy & Alistair & Scott couldn’t do anymore to ensure a great visit.

We arrived to the warmest of welcomes and enjoyed the whole of our stay. The atmosphere is relaxing but made unique through the decor and quirky nature of the furnishings and memorabilia. Breakfast was delicious with a huge choice of dishes and the Italian Feast evening was equally good. Ideally placed to explore Salcome and the many walks along the costs. We would most definitely return.

Just had a four night stay and wanted to stay longer. Beautiful home in a gorgeous location. Attention to detail is second to none in what has been created. Scott and Alistair excel in their hospitality skills, with a breakfast to die for from Scott. You won't need lunch ! Would definately reccomend but worried you might tell everyone !

We had a lovely stay, Scott and Alistair were generous hosts and we particularly enjoyed their cooking! The welcome scone was our top scoring scone of our holiday and the porridge brûlée was delicious. Would definitely stay again

Absolutely fantastic throughout. Great location, great B&B, amazing breakfasts, lovely room with great beds for a fantastic, nice sleep. Really nice accommodation with amazing attention to detail throughout, and fabulous hosts - highly recommend.
