We stopped at this Town Place in Clarksville, TN on our way north, but will never do so again. Our experience started with a very unpleasant front desk person who not only never smiled, but made us feel like we were bothering them. The room was fine, but housekeeping failed to check on amenities that might run out - we had to call down for more Kleenex during a 1 night stay and the house phone wasn't working and my husband had to call the front desk on his cell phone. Also it seemed unusual that there was only 2 washcloths and 2 hand towels available, whereas I've always had 3 of each. Although we got to breakfast 25 minutes before closing, the food was almost gone and lukewarm, Only 1 omelet available, no bacon, just crumbs, dried lukewarm croissant breakfast sandwiches, and only enough batter to make 1/2 waffle. There was very little choice unless we wanted cold cereal. The kitchen staff never once came out to check the food, but was quick to close everything up just before 9:00. The only person we saw working at this Town Place that has a pleasant attitude was the morning front desk person when we left.

First the pros. The hotel lobby is welcoming and clean. The bed was comfortable. Employees are friendly. I liked having a refrigerator as well. Now the cons. Our room was 228. Our windows were level to part of the roof. Like, we could have opened the windows and climbed onto it. When we got to our room, both of our windows were open about an inch. Ummm…what?! We wouldn’t have noticed if we wouldn’t have opened our curtains. That’s unsettling in the least. We closed them and locked them. Then, in the evening as we were winding down, I went to lock the deadbolt. It wouldn’t lock. Even my husband tried to lock it. We propped a small table up against it so it would fall if jarred. We both felt unsafe, but it was only one night so we rolled the dice. (Good news! We made it through the night!) There was also something broken on the bathtub wall and the broken piece was just sitting there on the tub. ??? The hot food was either too soggy or too dry. Potatoes, sausage (soggy) biscuits, and a fold over dry omlet. Not great. Pictures attached.

Nice overnight stop, right off Route 24 in Clarksville area. The suites were large and well-designed with comfortable bedding. They had a large indoor pool too. Several hotels and restaurants nearby.
