Great location nestled in a lovely small village, helpful and pleasant staff & ideally placed for anyone doing the coast to coast Unfortunately what was not expected was the loud music from the bar past midnight directly below my room so bear this in mind when booking

What a fantastic Sunday roast we have just had at The George Hotel Orton, it was up with the best roast dinners we have had. The plate was loaded and all very well cooked and presented. The Pub has a great atmosphere, and very busy, great beer, Wine and food what more can you ask for on a chilly Sunday in Cumbria. Not forgetting the roaring log fire.

Had a really excellent Sunday lunch here - significantly better than pretty much any other pub Sunday lunch I can remember having. Big old portions of everything, excellent beef, vegetables cooked exactly right (or to our taste anyway). The Yorkshire puddings were beautiful, very clearly properly done, and big. Just everything you could ask. Lovely staff. It's in a beautiful village. But it's the food that was really noteworthy - nothing fancy, but done very, very well.

We were very happy to stay in this welcoming, clean and comfortable hotel after hiking from Bampton. In addition to our dinners, we especially enjoyed our first Coronation Chicken sandwich that we preordered for our next day’s hike. It was very flavorful and moist. Thank you!!!

5 out of 5 Very friendly and amazing food. Highly recommended. Had chicken burger with blue cheese, very tasty. Hubby had burger, was delicious You know when you're glad you picked what you had off the menu, good choices by both of us. Hopefully come here again if in this neck of the woods. Excellent

这是一家多么可爱的传统英式酒吧。我们一家人来到这里，听说新主人已经开始翻新这个地方，所有的房间都升级和翻新了。我们很喜欢我们的住宿，他们还有美味的自制食物，一定会再来的
乔治酒店现在由一位临时经理管理。我们到达时，不幸地发现床单还没到。我们点了烤肉晚餐，然后去洗澡。可惜淋浴门掉成了两截，不过我们还是设法做到了。回到酒吧后，我们要求提供互联网密码，但被拒绝访问。我表示，拒绝付费客人上网是不合理的——经理告诉我，隔壁村还有另一家酒吧。酒吧女招待随后过来询问我们是否想吃晚餐——我们指出我们已经点了，但显然我们应该去确认订单。烤肉晚餐确实送到了，味道很好。同时，床单也送到了。当我们问早上几点吃早餐时，经理回答说“不早”。所以早上我们不得不去村里的商店买香肠卷当早餐。所以问题不少，但如果经理不那么敌视我们，我们就不会那么生气了。
