This review is for this particular hostel and not Zostel brand as a whole. I didn't stay there as I was in a different hostel nearby (10x better than Zostel - I can guarantee). However my friends were staying in Zostel and I politely asked the zostel servants if I can have food in their cafe to which they agreed. And suddenly one of their servants/volunteers comes and says that outsiders are not allowed in the cafe too (Not sure who he was but seemed like some untrained immigrant servant). A girl from east Delhi was also there. I think they should align their policies well rather than disrespecting people like this. I had to leave the table in front of my friends and guess what - they even took my order and payment. If this continues with such untrained employees, the place will not last for long. Hope Zostel takes a note of this.

Staff lacks professionalism.
I have been to other zostels and this was below par.

I recently stayed at zostel, and I was extremely disappointed. The rooms were tiny, with barely any space to move around. There was absolutely no room to open my luggage, so everything just ended up in a disorganized mess. On top of that, the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming. The staff were not particularly friendly or helpful, and it didn’t feel like a comfortable or hospitable environment at all. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a decent place to stay.

The place wasn't that clean, the toilets were poorly maintained. The food was recooked food that they provided not fresh ones. But the people running the place there were helpful. Good location but did not provide even the necessary stuff like soap.

The stay dors not look like the picture shown here- the rooms are old and not maintained well. The lighting is bad and the washroom was also small.

The location is good reachable and easy to find.
amenities is not that much good and I will expect more from zostal.

1. I am really disappointed because full of mosquito, cockroach(inside the locker) & millipede I am unable sleep properly 2. Wifi too poor nothing is working properly
3. Workstation is not allowed after 10pm
4. Breakfast should be provided in to the hotel itself. 5. Locker key should provide by the zostel.

Spacious and well maintained. The owner and volunteer faiza both are chill and very kind. It has amazing view of the alleppey beach so you can go anytime of the day and relax there
