The place was clean, convenient, and safe. Was also incredibly reasonably priced. So it is an exceptional bargain though it's anything but fancy.
The host, Tony, is very kind clear and accommodating.

Not recommended. Dated and grubby. On my visit there was a problem with the gas, so no food. Only Lager only or Guinness, no beer. Friendly but (probably) drunk bar staff. The room had black mould, stained blind, grubby bathroom, worn furniture. If you don't want to enter through the bar the rear entrance is permanently open. Anyone can walk in. Because of the gas issue there was no hot water. On one evening there was no water at all. Noisy at night with comings and goings and the odd arguement. 2 Stars is pushing it IMO.

Basic pub with rooms, dart board & pool table with a free juke box. Korean & Thai food is great quality and unbeatable prices

Booked a room as a single traveller with double bed and got a room with three singles , one window with no curtains . No duvet or blankets just thin sheets. Not their fault but no food or breakfast options due to a gas leek. Looks like mid refurb with lots of wire hazards and tools left out on public areas. Pub part was ok despite no food.

Stayed here as was convenient, price is decent, bed comfy, only thing I would recommend is the shower head to be sorted so I can change the direction as I’m a amputee I sit on the shower tray floor it was hard

Location was ideal for my needs. Atmosphere was very friendly/ no formal signing in or checking of id etc. Room was clean, lacking a few basics but ok for 2 nights. Good value for the area.
