Just one night transit whilst on a car tour. Its a typical busy scruffy town but we were very pleased with this hotel. It is in the upper floors of a small modern shopping mall. Rooms are spacious , modern and comfortable. However , the breakfast is served in a separate bar/restaurant one floor below and was rather meagre. There is a separate modern cafe/ snack bar in the mall which serves excellent food.

We stayed at Kyriad Hotel Gulbarga on 8th–9th November, and unfortunately, our experience was far below expectations for a hotel claiming 4-star standards. 1. Billing Confusion & Lack of Transparency: The room was booked directly over a phone call, and an advance of ₹1500 (50%) was paid via WhatsApp. The hotel initially sent a bill for ₹3000, but during checkout, we were suddenly told the total was ₹3500, claiming that the earlier bill was “mistaken.” This was handled unprofessionally by the front desk team (a tall, fair female staff member and a short male staff member). It felt misleading and dishonest. 2. Poor Cleanliness: The bathroom cleanliness was unacceptable — the commodes were visibly dirty in all the rooms we checked. Definitely not up to any decent hospitality standard. 3. Food Quality: We ordered dinner on the 8th night and received stale tandoori rotis. When we informed the reception, they only mentioned that a ₹700 bill had been generated, without even an apology or concern for guest satisfaction. 4. Confusing Water Charges: At night, we were told that drinking water was complimentary, but the next morning, the same staff insisted on charging for it. Overall, the property feels mismanaged and inconsistent. The experience did not match the 4-star rating or the positive reviews seen online. It’s hard to trust the credibility of the reviews after what we faced. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously — clear communication, honest billing, and proper hygiene are basic expectations for any hotel.
