I don't think I could recommend a hotel more! Despite only staying for one night, it was probably the highlight of our week-long holiday in Europe. The staff were wonderful, the apartment that we rented was breathtakingly beautiful and the hotel is situated right at the centre of Ærøskøbing. The breakfast was lovely, with staff cooking my son gluten free bread fresh when we mentioned his struggles with gluten. The courtyard was beautiful, and the restaurant offered lovely dinners and drinks. The open top beef sandwich was phenomenal. I cannot recommend this hotel more - particularly if you're staying in an apartment. We hope to come back for longer in the future!

The nightmare that any traveler could have imagined. Due to our flight and the limited ferry availability, we arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm. We already informed them that the late arrival. However, The office was dark. The doors were locked. There was no one answered our phone calls. Out of desperation, I also wrote an Emergent email. They did not bother to provide proper information. During my stay, there was no staff to call me or reply my email. Their staff was hardly there and the office was constantly locked. This kind of service is outrageous, especially the price they charge. I hope you won’t be dumped by them!

This beautiful old building is situated on a small square in the charming village of Aeroskobing on Aero Island. So charmingly decorated, with little paintings, vases of flowers, old maps and figurines in corners and on the walls. There are rooms in the original building, and an annex out back. Lovely little courtyard with potted plants and bistro tables. There are tables in the square in front where you can enjoy drinks. Our room was wonderful, with a full living room that overlooked the square, dining room, full kitchen, large entry hall and one bedroom. The king-size bed was large and very comfortable. There was a beautiful old desk in the dining room, which also had a large window that opened. The living room had beautiful Scandi furniture and two huge windows over the square. There was an antique hutch full of glassware for any type of beverage. Breakfast was in the bar/dining room and was excellent, with good brewed coffee, enormous buns, pastries, fresh fruit, cold cuts and cheeses, yogurt. We enjoyed dinner one night - a savory, drippy hamburger and white asparagus with tender little red shrimp. Every thing perfect here.

This lovely hotel has all the charm you would want in a Danish island hotel. Clean, simple, and cozy. The beds are perfect, the little courtyard is great for snacks or drinks in the evening and the food in the restaurant is also wonderful.

We had a night in an apartment here before an Æro wedding. The apartments are attached to a well known café/restaurant “på torvet” - literally “on the square”. The comms in advance were very helpful, although I do think there could have been some mention of the unsuitability of the roads/paths from the ferry to the hotel for wheeled luggage. With 2 wheeled suitcases, this was a real struggle for me. The apartment was studio-like with the bedroom area opening onto the living area. A wetroom/bathroom is to one side. The whole apartment décor was really excellent. The mattress was a little too hard for me. And I would have liked more power sockets near the bed. Breakfast was nice. But there seems to be a problem getting decaff coffee in Denmark. They just don’t do decaff anywhere. If I was going back to Æroskobing I would definitely return.

Pa Torvet is an absolutely amazing inn, as Aeroskobing and Aero Island are amazing places. Gunnar, the owner, instantly feels like an old friend. He and his team do a great job in making guests feel welcome and endeavor to meet every need and request. The hotel is impeccably clean (we had unit 10) and orderly. In renovating during their ownership, Gunnar and his wife Lill, did a marvelous job in renovation and redecorating to achieve a soothing, warm atmosphere that greatly contributes to the relaxed atmosphere. We recommend Pa Torvet for a personal vacation or for hosting an event in that while my wife were there for holiday, the inn hosting a company event that included housing of a number of the members, as well as, a dinner and bar time for about 90. They pulled it off while maintaining a high level of personal service to us and other individual guests. The inn is well located relative to the shops, restaurants, harbor and activity rental places of Aeroskobing. Several other reviews mentioned the church chimes as an irritant. Yes, the chimes rang, but we found them to be part of the small village charm. We enjoyed walking the town and trails radiating out from it. We also rented bikes and saw much of the rest of the island with its incredible beauty. We enjoyed fabulous meals at several local restaurants. Overall, our visit to Aero was mesmerizing as we felt we were in another world in which harmony and friendly relations were paramount. The Pa Torvet was a significant factor in that idyllic relationship. We have traveled extensively and could not recommend the Pa Torvet enough if you're looking for a tranquil, laidback holiday.

Some of the reviews talk about the church bells ringing all night. We stayed in August, and the church bells are not a problem. The last bells are 11pm, and the first bells are 8am. This is info that I would want to know, so we are sharing it. The hotel is perfect and we understand why it’s always sold out now!!

We stayed here for a week and cannot find any faults! Great location on the town square a short walk from the ferry. Despite being so central it is very quiet at night. We stayed in Apartment 10 which is very comfortable, beautifully furnished and spacious. Delicious breakfasts- yoghurt and fruit, fresh rolls and croissants, danish cheese and a different egg dish daily. Gunnar oversees every detail and is a charming host.

My now wife and I booked this hotel for us and our Wedding guests, our Friends and Family. A very lovely place and it was only walking distance to the wedding location. The breakfast which we also included in the booking did not have a lot of options but were delicious and sufficient. The hotel were quite flexible with the hotel room changes since some guests were not able to come but unfortunately there was also a miscommunication since they did not receive the E-mail my wife sent them as an update to how long my friend will stay in her hotel. We came to a compromise to pay half of the room which was charged extra for another night. Although this hotel deserve 5 Stars, I would give it 4, since it is not yet that accessible for people who are on wheelchairs. It was quite difficult to transport my Grandmother-in-law since they don’t have ramps. Overall, the Hotel stay was a good experience and we highly recommend this hotel.

We had the room in the back on the second floor. I think its the only room with a balcony- nice view. Room was spacious and very clean and quiet. The hotel is in a good location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good.
