The hotel room was good beds clean. Bathroom clean as well. Staff were brilliant. Leigh-Anne at breakfast I hope your company realises what a great asset you are to them. Thank you for everything. I would come back

Despite our group organiser having had made a mistake with the booking, the owner quickly and very happily accommodated for us and ensured we still had a place to drinks and eat within the establishment, absolutely pleased with the quick turn around on the situation and proactive response.

What a huge disappointment. This hotel is advertised as 3* Who rated that? We would say 2* at best and that’s being generous! Having paid £190 a night, albeit during the boat show, this place is just awful. Please reflect on my other reviews as I don’t report badly, unless true experience reflects the necessity! I’ll let the photo’s illustrate our £190 a night room. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This is the worst experience we’ve ever had in the UK. Shame on you Mercure! We doubt you’ll care or consider this review as your hotel is full and you’re making big money. We will do all we can to highlight your disgusting rooms and complete disregard for decency and honesty about your poorly staffed, dirty and poorly maintained hotel here in Southampton. Having booked weeks earlier at nearly FIVE TIMES your normal rate, we would have thought you could have reserved one of your ‘decent’ rooms. When we complained about the state of our room and asked to be switched the apology came back, ‘sorry, all our rooms are booked. We are full’. Mmmmm…bad planning at play here don’t you think? So, having complained at the front desk after a very unpleasant stay we were told that some rooms are below their usual standard and will be refurbished. We say, thank you for charging us top rates to stay in one of your worst rooms!

Great value room - I have stayed here previously so was very pleased with my front facing room. Did smell of paint but not unpleasant. Happy to see the rooms are being refurbished/refreshed. Bedding and pillows good quality. Clean bathroom. Fabulous location in town, quite close to university and all the shopping . Staff always pleasant. Not used the bar or restaurant as lots of choice in high street.

Having read all the negative reviews I did not know what to expect. My family and I were pleasantly surprised. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was amazing. Excellent location. We would definitely go again. It is also dog friendly they have bowls out for the dogs.

无论如何都不要来！太坑了 我们走遍全国去看我儿子的演出，这家酒店绝对是最差的，而且价格也不便宜 没有基本的清洁 地毯脏兮兮的 墙壁很脏 窗帘坏了 床架没铰链 还有更多 工作人员很友好，这是我能写出的唯一好话！
大约 12 年前住在这家酒店。不记得它曾经是这个样子。我们拿到房间钥匙的时间很合适。员工很友好，但酒店本身需要维修，房间很臭，地毯上有痕迹，总体来说很破旧，我觉得你付钱是为了位置，而不是为了其他什么。很遗憾，我绝对不会再住在这里了。
我无法对酒店本身发表评论，因为这是我第二次预订，却在几天内被告知我的预订已被取消。他们提供了另一家酒店 - 破旧不堪，而且距离酒店有一英里！********** 非常棒，解决了所有问题，但我不得不支付更昂贵的酒店费用，因为这么晚没有其他酒店可供选择。这很遗憾，因为我真的很想留下来，因为它的历史和我们要去的演出场地的位置。但我再也不会在这里预订了，因为我无法忍受被搞得一团糟。
