We needed a reasonably priced, clean, safe place to stay en route from IL to MD, and we found it in The Golden Inn! The rich history of the Inn and surrounding area detailed in a helpful notebook, the candle in the window welcoming us, the friendly staff, and the flashback to motel rooms of my childhood were all bonus!

Our room was clean and comfortable, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The Golden Inn is a little off of the beaten path but well worth the effort to get there. Located in a quiet rural area, it's still close to local attractions. We'd stay here again!

Room was cool upon entering after a long hot drive and everything was very clean. Owners were helpful and very kind. Great property, I love t hat there are apple trees all over the place. I will stay again.

This place felt right out of a book, it was retro, quaint, and run by a lovely local lady. I love supporting mom and pop business like this one. The room felt like a cozy cabin, I loved the vintage touches from the quilt to the blue tile in the bathroom, and the lovely view of the woods out back. Will definitely stay here again if I pass through the area.

These reviews are amazing. This motel is lacking so much, including a bathroom with heat. Straight out of the 40s, the room itself has been updated BUT the windows, the curtins, the flower boxes - I could go on - are retro at best. Spend #1 more, go into Richmond and find yourself a modern-day hotel with heated bathrooms and cable TV. You won't catch me here again.

As the night went on and you had not yet arrived, I tried calling you to see what time you would get here. Two times I called, and I left a message. I did not hear back from you. As per *******, guests that are a “no show” are marked as such and are billed. I understand that you are upset, but all you had needed to do was give us a call and your reservation would have happily been cancelled with no charge.
