Very beautiful resort like hotel. Tongkonan (traditional houses) nicely set in a park. Great views. Friendly service. Building and rooms old and not renovated.

The Sahid is an expansive hotel with rooms built in the Torajan traditional house style. The minimal staff work hard to keep the place running well. Our room was comfortable and clean. Hot water was powerful. Linen clean and unstained. Food was, however, slow. Its a very peaceful spot. Worth staying here with your family. Apparently Torajan funeral "season" is the Indonesian school holiday period: June till August. Keep that in mind if planning a trip.
