Thanks for a perfect stay! The Rye windmill is a B&B unlike any other and we loved it. Central location (we visited by train and it's only a short walk from Rye station), fantastic friendly, super helpful service and a delicious breakfast too. Can't recommend highly enough, thank you.

Booked a two night stay in the windmill suite and had the best chilled weekend ever , is a spectacular room to stay in especially with the Wrap around balcony, Toby and family attentive as usual and 10/10 breakfast .. this really is the best place to stay when visiting Rye and would highly recommend it , this is our definite go to when visiting rye

What a wonderful place. Fabulous hosts, warm welcome, attention to detail, very comfortable en suite twin room. Very near to Rye centre, parking, also near to station. Our host Toby, offered helpful advice for places to eat and see as well as a potted history of the Windmill. Both he and Kat are clearly such experienced hosts and get the whole experience just right. Gentle hosting with no pressure and great value for money. The breakfast was really amazing and it’s no surprise that they are usually very busy and much of their business is from loyal returners. We will definitely include ourselves in that category now and will be back. Can’t wait.

I stayed at the Rye Windmill for just one night and will definitely be back. The twin room was very cosy, homely and comfortable with shelving everywhere -essential to put our things on and a lovely big shower room. Toby and Kathryn were superb hosts giving us lots of time to tell us about the Windmill and Rye and surrounding area. Breakfast and parking are included and the full breakfast was perfectly cooked and hearty. I didn’t want to leave ;)

Wow!! What an absolutely amazing and fantastic experience. Before we even arrived we had a call from Toby to say we could arrive early. On arrival we were greeted by Toby who carried our bag to our room and highlighted the area for us. We were fully shown around pointing out very clearly how the place worked. We had a river view and the room itself was absolutely beautiful and spotless. Bottles of water in the room, tea and coffee. The shower was fantastic and the heating could be controlled from your room. Kathryn greeted us for breakfast and was like Toby extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The food was beautiful and very filling. The windmill hotel was a fantastic experience but this was heightened by the presence of such wonderful and attentive hosts. There is absolutely no doubt we shall be returning, Carl and Karen

What a fabulous find for a last minute overnight stay. We had the 4 poster Windmill room and it didn't disappoint. From the very warm welcome, informative hosts, wonderful large room, honesty bar and exceptional breakfast all in a fantastic location for visiting Rye and the surrounding area. We absolutely loved everything about this gem of a place and would love to return.

We chose this venue, not because we like stairs of which there are plenty, but because of its history and location within this historic Cinque Port. The Windmill Suite provides wonderful views in every direction including to the river Tillingham that runs alongside. The exclusive use of the outside deck provides the perfect location to watch the sun go down and come up should you be an early riser. Toby and Kathryn are the perfect hosts and have an encyclopedic knowledge of the town. They also provide a lovely choice of breakfasts that are prepared to order. Two things that are worth noting are that there is car parking on site (a boon in this town) and an honesty bar (perfect for that nightcap after a meal in town).

A wonderful place to stay. The hosts, Toby & Kathryn are the nicest people, they were so informative regarding restaurants, places to visit in Rye and further afield. The windmill is a short walk in to town. There are lots of restaurants, cafes and shops to visit as well as the historical sites. We really enjoyed the Mahdi Lounge, serving traditional Bangladeshi curry. The rooms at the Windmill are clean & beautiful, they have everything you need. The bathroom is large with a walk in shower. The breakfast menu is extensive which is freshly prepared and cooked each day. We honestly couldn’t fault this place and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here. We will definitely return in the future.

Tucked away from the bustle of central Rye, but easy to find and even for me a pleasant walk to the church and Lamb House. We arrived early, sorry, but the welcome from Tony was genuine and the room we had was a good size, spotlessly clean and with a super walk in shower. Breakfasts were extensive and there was a great choice and plenty to eat. Scrambled eggs were just the best ever. Thank you both for such a pleasant stay, and the use of the car charger.
