We spent one night at the Grand Gateway as we were headed through on the way back from Yellowstone. We usually stay in budget places on the road, so I was very pleased to get a last-minute rate that was excellent. The hotel is well appointed, and certainly very nice for the rate we got. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that the blanket wasn't clean and was covered with various hairs. It was late and I was too tired to deal with it, particularly since we were leaving early in the morning , but it did make a rather negative impression.

Place is infested with bed bugs and they are aware of it. Unfriendly staff and will not refund or accommodate you for their bed bugs.

The hotel says it’s “under new management” on its marquee. It DOES need a make over. The pictures on TripAdvisor were accurate. The rooms are dark and dated with carpet, old drapes, and lots of dander. They’re not for people who have allergies or who use inhalers. There were about 25 motorcycles there as well. One of the elevators was out of order. It was Labor Day weekend and the rates were double at all the hotels due to this, and the room was non-refundable. We only stayed one night which made it doable under the circumstances.
