We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Rogge Cloof. We had a warm welcome with interesting explanations about the farm. We were told we could do a wine tasting and we were blown away by the high-quality of the wines which were a real unexpected discovery for us. The accommodation is super comfortable and the big windows allow for nice star gazing from the room (which is even better during their stargazing activity by night during which we could see some interesting features!). The sunrise game drive was fun and we spotted black wildebeest, a porcupine, mongoose, lots of springbok, tortoises, gemsbok... The real highlight of our stay was the cheetah tracking. Rogge Cloof is home to a few cheetahs that have been rewilded and now live in full autonomy on the large property. Their are collared and with the the right equipment we followed our field guide, first by car and then on foot, to track one of them. We got to see the cheetah, who had just caught a springbok, from up close and spend some magic moments observing her before leaving her to her meal. We love the ethics that the team preserve around this activity, were impressed by the passion and knowledge of our guide and can warmly recommend a stay here for a true Karoo experience!

We chanced on Rogge Cloof whilst looking for accommodation close to SALT. It looked interesting so we booked and, my goodness, it did not disappoint! Our accommodation was amazing, the history of the place was fascinating, the activities on offer were delightful, ranging from star gazing to fossil hunting to cheetah tracking, and the staff were all so kind, thoughtful and helpful. Given the opportunity, we will go back!! Can thoroughly recommend Rogge Cloof.

We enjoyed the tranquil setting and natural beauty of Rogge Cloof. The natural beauty, game viewing, star gazing, and laid back athmosphere were excellent.
