Our villa was super nice and the staff were great! The location of this Taru Villa is really good, with the easily accessible beach being super close. The staff were great and really accommodating. Our favourite part of the villa was the pool which was super quiet and well maintained! Definitely recommend!!

The Taru Villas is down a side road from the main coastal road. It actually consists of two different places side by side. The one on the right facing the ocean is much nicer. It had about seven rooms. You feel like you're staying in a colonial house, with an enclosed courtyard, a red tile roof and comfy outdoor furniture facing the sea. It has a swimming pool in a corner of the property that was a nice place for a dip. The beach is beautiful, with 30-40 fishing boats waiting for an optimal time to head out and a little shack that offers food and drink. The temperature of the ocean was ideal, and I was able to wade out to my waist with no fear of an undercurrent. The room offered a canopied bed with mosquito netting. Very romantic! The bathroom was large, with two wash basins. I especially liked the shower area, with a stone floor. The room came with breakfast. We ordered a waffle (for her) and banana granola for me. Both were tasty. They also gave each of us a plate of fruit.

酒店回复: Dear Tyler, Thank you for this wonderful review! Yes, we do have 2 properties side by side, Taru Villas - Mawella a colonial property and Taru Villas - The Tangalle Social a slightly more modern offering . While their styles differ our service and offerings remain the same for both. It's wonderful to hear good things about our property and detailing and encourages us to keep reaching for the stars! Thank you for making Taru Villas a part of your visit to Sri Lanka, as we look forward to seeing you again! Cheers.
