Nasrul is a wonderful local guide that will welcome you in his home and do everything so you can feel at home in his guest house. The confort is basic but it is clean. You will have a traditional « mandi « as a bathroom. The food is excellent and very varied . This is the best place to discover all the sites in Rammang-Rammang by foot and the traditional life in a Sulawesi family. You can stay 2 days to discover all the sightseeing including caves . I Strongly recommend this place. Joelle

Nasruls seems a nice guy, his English is good and the food is pretty good too. But the place is below average basic compared to all of our other homestays in Sulawesi. A bucket shower and the water was smelly, no mosquitoe net but a lot of mosquitoes in the night because a pond in front of the house (picture). There are no rooms, beds are divided by a curtain (picture). If you book a tour make sure you to ask for total amount so you don't get surprised by a lot of extra/hidden costs getting added AFTER the trip. When we questioned the NEW price him and his brother got very aggressive towards us, we felt uncomfortable and ended up paying double what discussed and agreed. I would recommend staying in Makassar and come out for a day trip, or stay in Eco lodge for better price value and views.

I have stayed at Nasrul House Homestay in May 2023, and I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to see Rammang-Rammang for real. The best time there is the sunrise and the sunset, and you can't do this on a day trip from Makassar - staying at Nasrul House is the way to do this. Nasrul is very professional, speaks great English, and he knows the place like his palm because he grew up and lives there. And Rammang-Rammang itself is definitely worth a visit, one of the most amazing places in Indonesia!
