Casa Rio exceeded our expectations in several important ways. First, the property itself is far nicer than the pictures suggest. It is spacious, well laid out, and offers far more facilities than we anticipated. The location is exceptional — one of the true highlights of our stay was being able to directly access the banks of the river from the hotel, which adds something genuinely special to the experience. We were fortunate to be staying during a gala evening, and it was clear that a tremendous amount of effort had gone into it. There were performers, a wonderful atmosphere, and an abundant, wide-ranging spread of genuinely tasty food. Casa Rio clearly went out of its way to create something special for guests, and it showed. What truly sets Casa Rio apart, however, is the level of care and humanity shown by the management and staff. I should note that I was already unwell before arriving at the hotel. Despite this, the support and kindness I received were extraordinary. The manager, Sherin, was incredibly kind, attentive, and proactive throughout. When Casa Rio was fully booked for the following days and I had to move to another nearby hotel, Sherin went far beyond anything one would normally expect — he personally travelled to the other hotel the very next day just to check on me and see how I was doing. He also made numerous phone calls and arrangements to help find solutions while I was unwell, for which I am deeply grateful. What moved me even more was that the owner of the hotel, who was in Dubai, personally called me to check on my wellbeing. That level of personal care and accountability is exceptionally rare. Every member of staff worked extremely hard, were attentive to guests, and clearly cared about how each person was feeling. This is exceptional service, from the manager, to the team, right through to the owner — service that goes well beyond expectations and leaves a lasting impression. Casa Rio offers not only a beautiful setting and excellent facilities, but a level of genuine hospitality and compassion that is truly memorable.

We had a very disturbing and unsafe experience during our stay here as a family. My AirPods were stolen from our room, and what shocked us most was the way the staff and management handled it. Initially, they accepted that something might have gone wrong and even came ***** to check, but later they completely changed their statements and became rude and defensive. Even worse, there was a moment when someone knocked and tried to open our door when we were outside the room. That single incident made us realize how unsafe the property is — there seems to be no proper security, no cameras, and no accountability. Host will never reply We chose not to go to the police only because we were on vacation with our baby and didn’t want to spoil the trip, but the experience left us shaken. The property that appears peaceful online is, in reality, poorly managed and unsafe. Please be cautious — this is not a safe place for women, couples, or families. I would strongly advise travelers to think twice before booking this property. There are many other options in the area where your belongings and safety will be respected. This was my second visit to Casa Rio Resort. My first experience with family was excellent, which is why I chose it again for my honeymoon. Although the reservation process was not up to the expected standard, the stay itself exceeded all expectations. Property Manager Sherin, ***** with the teams across Front Office (Sadiq & Mutthu), Housekeeping (Podum & Bisal), Service (Libin & team), and the Kitchen (Chef Jacob & team), delivered outstanding hospitality. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and warm approach made our stay truly memorable. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The food and special arrangements were exceptional. Overall, Casa Rio Resort offers a remarkable experience and is highly recommended.

Visited Casa Rio Resort, Athirapally for a day trip with family. The waterfall view from the pool side garden was mesmerizing. The staff were kind, especially the manager Mr. Shakestien, who made us feel completely at home. My 5 year old son really connected with him ! Their MD was coincidentally present and he too was very welcoming. The food was excellent the fish curry and paneer were especially good. The peaceful setting with a slight drizzle and genuine hospitality made it a perfect day. This time we didn't stay overnight but next time we will plan for a overnight stay Highly recommended for families!

Excellent view and fantastic property! Highly recommend for stays for families and couples! The view is amazing of the Athirapally waterfall. Overall I had a wonderful time staying in this property. Clean rooms, great service and food..
