A very warm welcome is given by all staff members. We were greeted first with a cup of tea, after which we were brought to our rooms while our bags were carried up. The room itself was good for us, though we haven't used the TV so cannot give an opinion about that. The beds were comfortable and the windows have a second layer of mesh material to keep the bugs out. Attached were a toilet and shower, so that was nice. The restaurant is great, at breakfast we could also get fresh eggs any style we wanted on top of the buffet style, not the biggest but all you need is there. The lunch and dinner is super as well, the grilled chicken is amazing with the mushroom sauce. The hotel also offers taxi rides, which the trekking company had used for us with comfortable cars and drivers who know their way around.

It's my favorite hotel in kathmandu. nice rooms, very friendly people and always hot water. Also the rates are quite good For eating and sitting they have a very nice and quite garden so for kathmandu a good choise if you like a quite place in thamel

We have been staying in this friendly convenient family hotel for the last 24 years and never fail to enjoy everything about it. The garden restaurant with excellent safe food, the warmth of the welcome, the helpful staff, the proximity to the Garden of Dreams and Thamel, the freedom from traffic noise (and the reasonable price)...try it! They will even pick you up from the airport.

Hotel manager and staff are knowledgeable and well networked, which youll need to arrange seamless transport to and from the mountains. Ask for Hom, rearranges everything & remains contactable whilst youre hiking. The hotel itself is okay for overnighters. It's clean and provides basic amenities including breakfast.

The the hotel was amazing. The staff was really friendly. The concierge service set me up with taxis took me around the city places to eat and shop help me find a motorcycle to purchase to ride around had amazing breakfast buffet every morning for free included with the room cute little breakfast nook and a wonderful little garden. Staff is just great super nice like family.

This was my first hotel stay in Nepal it’s in Themal which is a shopping district. Super helpful because I lost my luggage in flight and bought all my clothes in themal. super cheap high quality. Vinod was so helpful in so many ways. Translation and guidance when I bought a motorcycle, sent out my laundry even after I checked out!! (Other subsequent hotel would have been $35 just to do a small amount of clothes like 1/4 the cost of clothes through this hotel was under $8. ). Anyways The hotel set me up with a car and a tour guide super cheap the guide was priceless I went 3 different days with guide and actually several days hung out, went to mountains rode on a motorcycle of Vinod’s friend before I purchased I think I definitely had the most fun at this hotel and with staff than my whole vacation I truly made some lifelong friends

Such a wonderful small hotel experience. Comfortable air conditioned accommodation in Thame with a lovely garden were you can enjoy breakfast of a morning. The beauty of the Blue Horizon Hotel is that its a quiet oasis conveniently located in a great area of Kathmandu. But the best thing about the hotel is the staff. So kind and helpful. It would be hard to find more caring staff anywhere. Its my home away from home.

Clean room, clean bed sheet, large room area with a sofa and coffee table for chill out. value for money, near to center of city yet not noisy from traffic and horns. Come with buffet breakfast, great environment. High floor with tables and chair to have some break outside the room. Friendly staff
