We traveled to Mankato, MN to be near family for the holidays. We had the best experience at Towneplace Suites! The staff, from the friendly General Manager, to the personable and pleasant front desk staff, to the housekeeping and grounds staff, we were so well taken care of! And we were so appreciative of the excellent breakfasts and the home-like atmosphere of the very wonderful staff who prepped and served the hot breakfast options. We were worried about having our dog with us in a hotel for 2 weeks, but the staff made sure that Skipper was also welcomed! We have traveled a lot, and this Towneplace Suites location was the absolute best!!

We booked at the Mankato Towneplace Suites by Marriott for one night. The rooms were clean, beautiful, and super comfortable. The amenities were appropriate- the room had an in-suite hot plate, dishwasher, and full size fridge including ice trays. The pool area was well maintained (no hot tub, though). We noted that small appliances were available to check out from the front desk, but had no need for those. Despite the number of guests in the hotel, this was one of the quietest rooms we've ever booked. In the morning, Mankato was in a blizzard. Jackie and German were caring, friendly, and accommodating while maintaining their professional demeanor. They even interacted really well with our preschooler when he wanted to greet them. Breakfast was quickly restocked when things ran low- only down side was that the waffle batter was onnoxiously slow. We weren't able to safely leave the area, so we rebooked online (due to our rate) - we knew we would not be likely to get such a great hotel if we made it another half hour down the road and got stuck. Jackie was able to efficiently block us into the same rooms so that we didn’t have to check out and back in. The second morning was similar to the first for breakfast, but the main course item was different- and the waffle batter even slower. Didn't catch the name of the breakfast attendent the second day, but Jackie was on duty again the second morning, and as wonderful as the day prior. 10 out of 10 would return.

I recently had an extended stay here, and to say the staff went above and beyond is an understatement. I cannot express my overwhelming appreciation for how warm, kind and welcoming everyone was. From Kcarie and German in the kitchen, to Jackie, Sydney, and MaryAnn from housekeeping and front desk - among others i didn't get the opportunity to catch their names. They gave so much care and attention to everything and everyone around them, and they just made me feel so at home. If I had to rate my stay on a scale of 1-10, it'd be a 20. I am sincerely grateful and appreciative of all of their hard work and dedication. If I ever get the chance to come back to Mankato, this hotel is going to be my #1 choice. Forever and always.

A nice, relatively new hotel. The room was smaller but adequate with a full kitchen. Even though we were on the side near a major highway it was relatively quiet. The breakfast was a disappointment, the sausage looked undercooked, so we did not try them. No fresh fruit or sweet rolls of any kind, just waffles and bread.

A wonderful new hotel with great staff. Suite was well equipped and the towels and bedding were new, fresh, and comfy. The room climate control was the most responsive I've found in ages. Well done! Breakfast was typical -- somewhat minimal buffet but very adequate and coffee was great. The studio suite was large and very comfortable for a one night stay. Especially nice (and, unfortunately unusual) was that the TV on the wall actually swiveled to be where it could be watched from the sofa or, just as well, from the bed.). I didn't use the kitchen but it seemed well supplied. They did provide a complimentary beverage when ordering food at the Bistro in the Courtyard next door. It did strike me as overpriced but for the opportunity to try out and enjoy a brand new facility, I was more than pleased.
