My WIfe and I visited on Valentines Day. We were looking for property in Pismo Beach. The hotel is pretty new and clean, but there are several problems. We checked in and decided to grab a bite at the lobby restaurant. 1.) As soon as we approached the "please wait to be seated" area we were hastily met by two individuals who intstructed us that there were no tables available, as all were reserved, even though the restaurant was half empty. It was around 5:30 p.m. After we informed them that we were guests, they finally agreed that they could give us a terrible table far from the main area. For $220.00 Our dinner was ok, the food was decent. 2.) But the service was not, as there was really only 1 waiter bustin his butt to serve everyone. 3.) We saw several couples arrive, be seated, and then leave after receiving no service. We were not offered any water or bread. 4.) The room OTH, was nice, fairly new, quiet. There was a coffee machine in it, but, it did not work. 5.We were told when we checked in that breakfast would be served at 6:30 in the morning. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:45 a. m. and were promptly informed that the restaurant wouldn't be open until 7:00 a.m. At this point we'd had enough and just left to go find a cup of coffee somewhere.

We’ve stayed multiple times and, sadly, each stay has presented it’s own set of issues. The hotel and accommodations are nice. Priced well enough for the quality. Doesnt feel cheap but definitely not a luxury type property. First Stay: booked the suite. 2nd tv didnt work. Not a huge deal but since traveling with a toddler, was the reason for booking the suite. Somewhere we could be after she went to bed. They made up for it with a generous discount. We stayed for multiple days and requested the room be serviced multiple times and literally just didnt happen. When we mentioned that while checking out we were told we need to call and request. Which we did. Multiple times. Was new and ironing out. Not a huge deal but this is why you’re here reading this. Next trip: prepaid nonrefundable rate for 2 nights. Wound up getting double charged (prepaid and then charged the card again after check out). Still have not had that second charge reversed and that was over 2 mos ago. AC in the room did not work. Was actually significantly hotter in the room than outside and even more so the hallway. None of us slept that night. They did move us to a suite though for the second night. Very much appreciated. The restaurant/coffee situation is quite inconvenient if (a) youre working while traveling or (b) intend to hangout on property as they are not open in the afternoon at all essentially. Not even a coffee station (in room coffee but its honestly rough and the waters for the [standard] room I dont believe are free. But I may be wrong. Overall, nice enough stay (and we do tend to stay at ritz, four seasons, etc.) but feels a bit unexperienced/you can tell everyone is very new. Everyone is quite kind and helpful as well. I feel like im even forgetting some of the other wrinkles and odd/easy misses. If they iron out the kinks. And the pricing stays the same, I would change my review to a 5. But as is, 3.5 is very apt. Oh, and being templeton is my hometown. Its also very tough to see what theyre doing to that part of town. Just felt worth mentioning — not looking forward to the rest of that center being developed at all. Whatsoever.

Hotel was very clean very stylish. Enjoyed the staff. Extremely helpful. Bed was amazing. Should've signed up for their rewards points because I am going to stay there again.

Pluses-off the freeway so it’s quiet. New hotel with streamlined furnishings -nice shower. Nice spa and exercise room. Nice outdoor area with gas fire pits. Friendly staff. Negatives- no microwave. Difficult to use in-room Nespresso espresso coffee maker- leaks if you don’t get it just right and lever difficult to press down over pod. Coffee not great even though we used filtered water. Whole wall of outlets not operational upon arrival, including refrigerator and coffee plug. No GFI circuits tripped that we could find. Luckily saw a maintenance worker in the hallway- he looked at it and said he would check main room breaker. It was fixed by the time we returned to our room at 10:00 PM. No complimentary morning coffee in lobby- had to patronize their cafe for $4 coffee if you want good coffee. No complimentary breakfast-passed on cafe and their $19 breakfast burritos, etc. Parking fee of $10- they don’t even give you a parking pass for the car, so who’s monitoring that? Why charge since hotel is not near anything else? Can’t imagine anyone not having a vehicle as if it was near an airport. Ditch that charge and add good complimentary coffee, and MAYBE we’d try again. Otherwise there are several nearby hotels with breakfast and parking included.
