With some many nice onsen towns in Fukushima, Bandai-Atami may not be the first choice to inbound tourists. But I do highly recommend this place for it offers excellent value to those who appreciate high quality onsen water. Since the place is less famous, prices of room and meal packages are really good. The ryokan is obviously old, but they have undergone renovation; there was nothing fancy but the room was very comfortable. Staff tried their best to offer good service such as using smart phone to translate so as to communicate with guests in English. The onsen may look basic, but the water quality is excellent. Dinner was delicious with very high quality food and nice presentation. It was obviously they paid attention to even small details. I paid only US$135 for a night with two meals, which was excellent value. There is nothing much to see in the area, but if someone is looking for good onsen, I would highly recommend this place.
这是我第一次住在这里。接待处虽然不大，但干净整洁，整体感觉很干净。走进山城屋，感觉就像一家传统的日式温泉旅馆。房间很宽敞，还有榻榻米，这点我觉得很不错。一开始就铺好了被褥，可以躺着睡觉，感觉很棒。温泉水一进去，感觉很顺滑，泡完皮肤感觉很滋润。我期待的晚餐种类丰富。虽然在山里，但肥美的金枪鱼刺身特别美味。还有白酱汁的焗烤菜、蓬松的茶碗蒸、盐烤山女鳟鱼、涮涮锅等等。食物和日本酒很搭。每道菜都很美味。还有炖菜，让人感觉很舒服。早餐的菜品种类丰富。烤咸鲭鱼尤其美味，皮脆肉嫩。炖萝卜和鸡肉也很美味，新鲜蔬菜做成的沙拉也很棒。最后，我们喝了酸奶和咖啡。温泉水质很好，这是一家令人放松的温泉旅馆。能够放松身心真是太好了。
