Incredible property with beautiful facilities and wonderful service. Finca Victoria walks the line between luxury standards and individualized care. They never forget the person for a preconceived service standard. The actual grounds and rooms are gorgeous and the amenities are plentiful, but that’s nothing without the staff. From the communication of the front desk staff to the pool attendant moving stealthily to sweep up old towels and reset seamlessly, they really made the experience sing. The facilities were beautiful, clean, new, and spacious and the location is stunning. It is QUIET outside of season which we did not anticipate and required some extra planning, but Shay made us reservations and booked the hotel van for transport (no extra cost). There are multiple options on site, but we wanted variety for the length of our stay. Special shout out to Shay, Laura, and Carlos, but honestly everyone at the front desk, housekeeping, Cala, and pool were wonderful. *Even the hairdryer was fabulous. Begur was planned as a one time thing, but Finca Victoria made me want to make it a regular stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Finca Victoria. I booked relatively last minute for 3 nights to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The staff were so kind and friendly and really made her feel special. The bedroom was very comfortable and spacious. Good size bathroom and shower. We had a balcony with a view of the sea. We ate in the excellent restaurant. We were lucky to get a table as I had not pre-booked. If you go at high season do book in advance. It is really lovely and I am sure will become a destination restaurant outside of the hotel. The pool area is lovely with a very chilled vibe and a lovely bar serves delicious food and a mean cocktail! The beach was heavenly and made all the more lovely by the little Finca having a little house providing you with sunbeds, towels and umbrellas. There is also a shuttle service (when available) to visit other coves and beaches. Next time we will get a boat for a few hours to explore. There was a spa with a sauna, jacuzzi and treatments. I thought this was quite expensive and you had to book and pay to use the jacuzzi and sauna. We didn't bother as the pool and beach was enough for our short stay. I cannot recommend this little corner of Spain enough and would highly recommend the Finca Victoria.

If you are contemplating whether this new hotel is your next destination, here’s your full, honest review (the good & bad), exactly what I’d been missing before booking my own trip. Booking process: I booked my room online, while I usually research hotels beforehand on various websites, this one was obviously hard to investigate as there were not too many reviews, due to its recent launch. Most prominently missing were actual room pictures on both those travel websites as well as the hotel’s own official one, which made it difficult to pick the room category. To help you out, I’m attaching several actual photos of my own room (Privilege with Terrace). Welcome experience: As easy as they come, you pull up to the reception area, leave the car and they take care of the rest (valet is free). They do show you around the property, which at first glance is a bit scattered but easy to quickly learn your way around. Also, if you are limited in mobility keep in mind that the hotel/resort has a lot of stairs to get to the rooms and public areas. The hotel grounds, restaurants, spa, pool, bar are impeccable and well-taken care of, full of greenery and smiley faces, making you want to stick around and hang out. Room: The ‘Privilege with Terrace’ category probably has some of the nicest layouts and best views in the hotel. With quite large patios, outdoor seating and open-air shower overlooking the bay, the view changes every time of day. It is a great place to have your morning coffee or unwind at the end of a busy, sunny day, before bed. The room itself is spacious enough for a couple, decorated in a 70s-inspired, comfortable beach vibe, with the bed situated to enjoy the view. The bathroom has a separate shower room (!) that could easily fit 4-5 people, or whatever your own vibe is. One caveat, house keeping was not done until 2-3 pm twice during my visit, which forced me to contact the reception; this seems to be mainly a ‘growing pain’ of a new hotel, but shouldn’t happen in a 5-star (pricey) resort Dining: Al Kostal del Mar, the new gastronomical star of Begur, while not cheap, is worth every penny. Situated on top of the pool in an old-school Spanish courtyard, it offers the best of Mediterranean cuisine, with all food being cooked on an open fire. The atmosphere, views of the area, the surroundings and service all make for an amazing experience. Make sure you book a table before, space is limited and demand is high (especially in summer). Breakfasts are being served at the same space, buffet-style. While everything on offer is good and of high-quality, the variety could be better (bread, cheese, vegetables, pastries). The hotel does offer to prepare an egg of your choice and coffee but that’s about all you can choose from, to customize breakfast to your likings. Could be better. The location: Probably the most important aspect, but it all depends on one’s expectations. At close proximity to Sa Riera Beach, the hotel offers a side gate which allo

Finca Victoria had been open for less than 2 months when we arrived. The grounds are beautiful, and a lot of thought and attention to detail was put into this newly renovated hotel. We had a room with a balcony and partial Mediterranean views, and it was large, clean, and well-appointed, if a bit sparse with decoration. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the Malin+Goetz bath products. They also have a good setup on the beach; there is a separate house (2-min walk away) that the hotel runs, and there is a guy who gets you set up on the beach with chairs and an umbrella wherever you want. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel, and the quality of food is excellent. We did have an issue with the AC that was addressed and resolved very quickly, and a few other minor hiccups that were also resolved to our satisfaction once management was notified. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and helpful, and this has the makings of becoming a great hotel once all the opening growing pains are worked out.

This is an outstanding 5-star choice for a Costa Brava vacation. Excellent service, warm Catalan culture, and excellent facilities. It's a location to relax, contemplate, and avoid the crowds. Walking distance to a wonderful beach. Great views of the ocean from the restaurant. It's a brand new spot so a few kinks to work out -- the gym needs a major upgrade. But trust me, this is the place to be for an elite vacation.
