We stopped at the inn for one night, bringing our freshman daughter to college from Thanksgiving break. Arrived late, very tired, had dinner, the food sounded fancy, but turned out to be very disappointing. Literally one minute that we walked into our room on the 3rd floor we received a phone call that "your kids" were too noisy. We figured someone was maybe trying to sleep early and asked to move us into a different (smaller, but for the same price) room so we wouldn't bother anybody. So they did. Next morning, soon after breakfast we started packing. I was wearing heels and walked over the stone part of the floor by Jacuzzi a couple of times while packing. Not even two minutes that we started packing, which was around 11am in the morning, the regular check-out time, a manager of the hotel barged into our room saying that there were all kind of banging noises coming from our room and there are other guests staying at this hotel. I can't even begin to describe how stunned I am at the kind of treatment we received at this establishment. Have been traveling with kids everywhere, was never humiliated and mistreated like this. Shame on you!

We have stayed here several times while my son attended Geneseo. He is graduating in a couple of weeks and , alas, it is booked so we are shut out. The Inn is run by the college and is not perfect. If I had written this review a couple of years ago, it would not have been so favorable, but they really do make a great effort to accommodate you, and that goes a long way in my book. From the manager Anne on down, everyone is nice and helpful. The rooms are fairly updated and are clean and comfortable. I believe every room we stayed in there had a fireplace, which is a great plus it's winter in Geneseo about 10 months a year : ). The Tavern there is one of the focal points of the town and a great place to have a cocktail. The food, while not Michelin rated is certainly adequate and the staff is attentive. The bar keeps including Nick and Shannon were spot on and very friendly folks. When I stay in Geneseo, it is definitely my first choice.

We did not stay there, although we intend to. The property looks magnificent. Since we came after 9pm, we only had time for drinks. The tavern is very old with lots of character. Great bartender and ggreat selection of NY craft beer. Has a great veranda facing the main street to eat or dink. A classy place to get a drink in Geneseo.

We were in town for the college reunion, and needed a place to stay the night. The room was one of the King suites on the second floor. we received at the Big Tree was spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfy. We didn't use the jacuzzi tub or fireplace because we were only there one night, but the tub looked clean and inviting. There were robes in the room available for use, but no in room coffee pot. Ambience of the Inn is more hotel like than it is B&B, and I wouldn't choose it as a destination for a special occasion, but when staying in Geneseo, I would definitely stay again. We did not eat dinner at the Inn. The breakfast spread that they place out in the morning leaves a bit to be desired. More what you would expect from a continental breakfast at a hotel chain than you would from a small inn. No hot breakfast items. You are better off walking down Main Street to any number of breakfast choices.

We stayed with fellow Geneseo graduates for one night in this lovely inn at Thanksgiving. We have always admired it from the outside but you need to stay here to full appreciate all it has to offer. The outside is a preserved mansion house that has been added onto to provide a banquet hall and extra accommodations. The whole place was tastefully decorated for the holidays. There is a nice sized bar on the main floor opposite the check in with excellent staff. A main sitting room dressed in an older period welcomes you to relax on the first floor and the wrap around porch gives ample room for sitting out and watching people go by. The banquet facility is in the back and there was a large party the evening we checked in but they were removed enough they did not bother us at all. There are only 6 or 7 rooms total in the inn and each are unique. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms which by no means was small. There was a very comfortable queen bed and seating with tasteful decorations throughout. The bath was large and open and one of the cleanest I have seen in any overnight accommodation. Our friends had one of the larger rooms with a working fireplace. Both rooms felt historic but cleanly fresh. The included breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very helpful. It is a great stay for a getaway, date night or reunion.
可爱的酒店。该酒店位于一个非常安静而美丽的小镇,被列为历史古迹。装修的细节也很用心。他们给我们的房间很小(莉莉)。他们没有电梯,所以搬运行李很困难。友好的工作人员。物有所值。
