PAWS AT TIPESHWAR is a small nature-centric resort near Kaleshwar, set just 3 Km from Mathani gate of the Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, offering an authentic jungle escape vibe. Its tranquil settings are praiseworthy, which makes it ideal for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and anyone wanting a break from busy city life. Its just ~390 km / 6.5 hours drive from Hyderabad. Booking our stay – was easy-peasy , Deepak garu, owner and partner was so prompt , the stay and safari bookings were done in a few minutes. We had booked 2 tents for two nights. We reached around 13.30 hours where Deepak welcomed us and we were immediately guided to our tents. The tents are spacious, clean, and well-appointed with essentials like comfortable double bed, clean linen, a table, boiling kettle, Green tea sachets and beautiful lights. The tents have both, the air-conditioner and a heater. There is a wooden rack for our bags and hangers for clothing. The bathroom is super-sized, with a western toilet seat, a wash basin and lovely shower. There is a wash basin right outside the bathroom as well. This all made our jungle experience more relaxing than rough. Each tent comes with its own sit-out and a small garden space, letting you soak in the sounds of the surrounding wilderness. We must mention the high cleanliness and good upkeep of the entire property. Food & Service and Hospitality - A big highlight here. Chef Rohit bhau and Shilpa are excellent at pan Indian cuisine. The local Vidarbha cuisine they served (Patwadi , Saoji Chicken, Tarri-Poha) were top notch, Samosas for evening snack were mind blowing. My younger one says she would come to Paws soon, just to stay and eat. Warm, helpful and cheerful staff is another highlight, especially hosts like Deepak, who go out of their way to ensure bookings, safari arrangements and special requests are smooth and personalized. Deepak has built a team of excellent hosts, from Facility manager Mr. Anil to the last person of the team. who come from nearby villages of Parva and Kaleshwar; Jeeshan among them needs a special mention, he’s attentive, smart and always smiling. The Safari experience – Ours started with a brief (rough) Gipsy ride in the evening to Jamb lake nearby. It’s a serene place to sit and enjoy the quite, doing nothing. We couldn’t find many birds around we set our camping chairs (again provided by Paws) and sipped the warm ginger tea that chef Rohit had packed for us and soaked ourselves up in the colors of sunset. After a hearty dinner , we sat around the bon fire and watched the starry sky and retired early. Next morning woke up at 5.30 and were served with hot ginger tea. By 6.20 we were off to our morning safari which was 4 hours of ride in to jungle. We could sight a lot of birds like peach headed and rose ringed parakeets, Black Drongo, Crested Serpent eagle , yellow-footed green pigeon, Indian roller, Indian pitta, white breasted Kingfisher , white eyed buzzard and many more. After watching a pack of

Completely authentic experience! The accommodations, food and location were top and exceeded only by the friendly and professional service! We have done several safaris in different countries and this rates right up there! Their knowledge of tigers was astounding.

While discussing where to head to post Pench, my husband suggested Tipeshwar. A quick google search led us to 'Paws at Tipeshwar' A few messages back and forth got us a cottage reservation. We were welcomed by Deepak who was super helpful and ensured everything was seamless. Our Cottage (its a newly built one and there are two) was comfortable & spacious. Comfortable beds, clean linen and spacious bathroom. The food was homely and I really liked the attention given to personal requests by the team at Paws. Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is a quiet jungle when one compares it to other bigger parks like Pench and neighbouring Tadoba, but doesnt lack in action. As they say, sighting a tiger is a matter of luck, but we did get to see a fair amount of birds. All in all a great stay at Paws. Will surely return and recommend.
