The Lighthouse Inn & Suites has earned all 5 stars! We were very pleased amd highly recommend. Just a few highlights: Spotless clean, newlyrefurbished/updated, amazing and unique decor, well stocked, very spacious, assigned parking right outside suite door, very quiet, well lit outside, and touch pad entry. Special shoutout to Gully, who was was very kind and knowledgeable about the area. She went above and beyond.

Property isnt much to look at from the outside but the suite was very nice and clean. My only complaint is the lack of deadbolt and additional ability to lock the entry door aside from the electronic lock. Needs to have a chain or higher deadbolt.

Room was nice, well furbished, and quiet. However, the area around the hotel was not nice and had an “hourly rate” feel. Our response was likely the result of expectations management. The hotel was billed as 4-star, so our expectations were very high and then we showed up to a dive area with a decent room. Communications with the staff were all via text (nothing in person), which adds to the sketchy feeling. Hannibal itself has fallen on hard times, but this was very much hidden by the pictures and the advertising to highlight the room and hide the area.

This hotel is ULTRA modern which doesn't really fit the area since the history and that old timey feel is what makes it a tourist destination. The room was a good size and very clean! I just didn't like the aesthetic. There was no dresser in the room. You also don't check-in like normal. They text you your room number and the code to enter before you arrive and if you have any issues you just text that number. As a traditionalist it seemed a little sketchy. There was little water pressure in the shower. Finally, the floors were odd, like there was a small step down into the room, and there was a small step into the bedroom and another at the bathroom. Not a stair, just a couple of inches difference so they were easy to fall over. I did like the kitchen area in the room, it had everything we needed.
