You are correct that we are a privately and locally owned boutique hotel, and with that comes a responsibility to maintain a peaceful and secure environment for all our registered guests.What was not mentioned in your review is that you arrived with a party of six but had only booked one room for two people. When it became clear that you intended to have additional, unregistered guests use the facilities—specifically our pool—you were reminded of our house rules and asked to either book an additional room or remove the unregistered guests.As stated at the time of booking and reiterated during check-in, we do not allow non-registered guests on the property. These rules are in place to ensure the comfort and safety of our paying guests and are communicated both prior to and during check-in.It’s also important to note that you had already checked in, used the room, and only requested a refund after being asked to comply with these rules. As with most boutique hotels, we do not offer refunds for used accommodations based on unwillingness to follow clearly stated policies.We take pride in providing a calm and enjoyable experience for our guests and will always enforce policies that protect that standard.

Very clean and comfortable. The caffe had very delicious things, it would be a nice addition to have room service and later hours. Overall it was a nice stay, I definitely recommend.

Hotel Bayit was a haven during a very difficult week. In a town full of indistinguishable chain hotels, this little hotel is run by a family, and they do an excellent job. The rooms are immaculately clean, the beds comfy, and the food at Matriarch (the cafe on property) is delicious. Can confidently recommend this hotel. In fact, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Modesto.

Let's build a boutique hotel right off the 99 in Salida - said nobody ever... But, this is a very nice oasis that is modern, clean and comfortable. The family that owns the property was very friendly and seems eager to please their guests. If you need to be in Modesto, go a bit further and try this unique hotel.

This is an amazing place. We didn’t know what to expect since there is no office to check into, but the room was great! Clean, modern. Very convenient. No microwave and the toilet is in the shower, but it works. We would definitely stay here again. I felt strange having to provide a scan of my drivers license in order to get our access code to enter the room, but I guess without a staff person onsite to verify ID you have to do it digitally.
