We loved every thing about this hotel; what a gem. A historical property which proudly displays its history but with all the modern amenities needed. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and provided an excellent night's sleep. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, honestly, they made it feel like home. There is a wonderful restaurant in the hotel as well. We loved it so much, we returned and took friends with us. Yes, it is just that special.

Room 111 was sold as an upgraded oversized king suite, it directly below the restaurant and noise is constant and by far the loudest we have ever experienced, it’s a known issue to the management and the AI responses just gloss over it, maybe other rooms are ok, but 111 should not be sold to the public at all. The fact that management has known and keeps issuing the room is egregiously irresponsible.

Great hotel; noisy
Very friendly staff; exceptionally clean room. Even with the vintage architecture, the Visitation felt modern. The only drawback was the people in the adjoining room - they were very loud. Some rooms do not seem to have isolated acoustics.

We were in room 106, right under the restaurant/ballroom. There was a wedding reception there last night. It was VERY loud until 11 pm, then they started tearing down and cleaning up EARLY this morning. It was very loud, and woke us up at 7 a.m. that was very disappointing.

Wonderful weekend getaway at the Visitation. Located right in the heart of old town Frederick, walking distance to anything that you would want to do. Our stay was for a celebration and the staff went way above and beyond to make our stay over the top enjoyable! They succeeded. The interior of this 1860’s building was fully renovated, but kept the historic charm throughout, the decor and feel was perfect. The restaurant is in the old sanctuary and is very popular , so make sure to make reservations If you are staying in Frederick, this is the place you must stay. It sure beats your traditional boring every day hotel.

Room was nice, but lacked a place to sit-other than bed. No chairs on porch outside of door-unlike many other rooms.
