Allowed early check in due to off season. Check in/out was easy. Staff was great and informative on resort amenities, hours and options. Room was large and room and view was great. Octoberfest happening and was fun. Pools were great

Loved that rooms were clean and updated; no carpet was a plus! Could see ocean from balcony and direct access to the beach. Also restaurant and bar on site. Location was near to restaurants and tourist attractions.

Room was musty smelling. The curtain did not fully cover the window/door because of the hinge on the door allowing bright light from the security light across the way to shine in. The ceiling fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy. The cover to the air conditioning/heating unit was laying on the balcony. There was a large clump of hair on the bathroom floor.

It is always scary to choose a beach experience for the first time. Therefore, we really felt like we struck gold with The Ellie Resort. Beach view, cleanliness of room, food & drink options, helpfulness of staff, that magnificent pier — all exceeded our expectations. Only two suggestions: Free coffee in the lobby is a must for a hotel of this quality; and (traveling with a friend in a wheel chair), larger parking spaces that are better protected from the elements would be appreciated. With that said, however, we cannot wait to come back to Myrtle Beach, and, when we do, The Ellie will be our lodging choice! Jim Mitchell

Our room was not at all beach view. Although what I booked online said it was. I also asked when I checked in and was told it was, and it wasn’t. We had to change rooms from a ADA to a standard and the view was stil awful.

Hotel was nice, however we requested extra towels 4 times before we go any and that was after the hotel ask if we needed anything.
